Hi all,

My K1 visa interview is scheduled for next Friday at the London embassy. I have both the original documents and photocopies of the documents on the checklist here: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/application_documents.html

I am confused about the first few paragraphs at the top of the checklist.

Applications processed by the Embassy in London - You are required to obtain the original documents or certified copies, and one photocopy (with the exception of your passport and photographs) of the following documents for yourself and each family member applying for a visa. All documents are required even if they were previously submitted to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services with your petition.

Applications processed by the National Visa Center (NVC) - If you submitted your original documents to the NVC prior to November 12, 2014, you will not be required to obtain additional copies. You should check the list below to ensure that you have obtained all applicable documents. If any applicable documents were not submitted to the NVC, you should be prepared to present them at the time of your interview.

From November 12, 2014: Applicants are required to submit copies of their documents to NVC and bring the original document to the visa interview. The original Affidavit of Support, Form I-864 is still required by NVC and will be forwarded to the Immigrant Visa Unit with your file and available to the consular officer at the interview.

Do I need to send any documents to NVC or do I just take the originals and copies to my interview?

Here is my timeline:

I-129F application sent to USCIS - 8th August 2014

NOA1 - 27th August 2014

NOA2 - 6th March 2015

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I had my interview on Monday, all you need to do is take all of your documents to the Embassy.

As you are going for a K1 Visa, you have no need to send anything to the NVC.

Thanks Ryan. That is good to hear! Also, can you remember if you completed the DS-160 or DS-260? I saw an article that said the DS-260 has replaced the DS-160 but I don't think this is the case. Thanks again

Hi,

Again I believe that for myself it was the Ds-260, however for you it is the DS-160
