hello TSC fillers
i know this is not a new topic or subject for so many people, but i am truly living in a nightmare with TSC, i just wanted to share my feeling and my thoughts with you who is living the same thing with me
it is so frustrating and painful deeeply when i see march filler, late march ofcourse who are routed to CSC and also to see CSC filler , getting thier approvals in weeeekssssss, just few weeks , now they are waiting for thier interview, and us just before them by days , and even not me, the people that months waiting, to wait months while other do not even wait anything or any amount of time, its things in motion for them it makes the waiting easier, if our waiting in motion, for example things are moving document sending for to place to other, or we working for medical tests it will make the waiting easier because u feel u are moving forward, not just setting and waiting....
cant we do something, they must stop for a while csc and start transfer all the filler in texas starting from December to march, work for them i think if csc will work for tsc for those months will finish them in weeks
i am losing my mind, thousands of miles away from my fiancee who is everything to me, my oxygen i feel i am dying
so hard that after me immediately they started to route to csc
anyone has any idea how to change this ?
i hope i can hear something positive about our waiting time and the processing time in this nightmare texas
i hope you forgive me for my anger, i am in so much pain..

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves differences in processing-times. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

i hope you forgive me for my anger, i am in so much pain..

The problem at TSC has been ongoing for some time now. Currently, they are officially working on September 2014, but we know they've also been doing some October and November in there too. Since it looks like you filed in Feb, I'm sorry to say, as you well know, you can expect to wait for quite a few months more.

I completely understand and sympathize, my wait was well over 200 days, and there are still people waiting some 240+ days now.

As you can see from the link in my signature, quite a few people stepped forward to try and bring this to elected official's attention, including the President. Based on the information provided to him, the decision was made in the USCIS to directly send all currently filed and new petitions starting in that last week of March to CSC for an undetermined amount of time. That was, I'd have to assume, either his own personal decision, or riding the backside of someone in charge at the USCIS to make a new gameplan. So, I could certainly say that the highest office in the land, and the one that is technically in charge of the USCIS is aware of the problem we're all facing. You can take what that decision says with frustration that it won't do much, or with slight hope that perhaps over time it may balance something out. What it will do remains to be seen yet. I do feel as feel TSC has been scrambling a bit more, but not by much.

Do what you can to pass the time and ease the pain, and when the time comes that you are over processing times, have the US citizen get in touch with elected officials that may be able to assist.

thank you so much for your reply

i am a feb filler the uscis site says that they received my petition 24 of feb, and last update was second of march, and my noa1 hard copy was 6 of marth, i have no idea which date to follow to count from

i hope they transfer some of us i pray for that, and knowing that they are aware of the very bad backlog and differences of time between tsc and csc sometimes giving me hope maybe something could happen anytime, i hope so and pray so, everyday i open VJ to see if there is anything new

my attorney saying do not waiting anything until 1 of September and if we did not receive anything then we call her to discuss what should we do about it

i am so sorry for your long wait, and pray for me not to be the same case

Stop looking at other people's timelines.

You should have planned for a long wait, expect 10 months, be happy with 5.

So since you received your NOA1 in March, you should be happy with a NOA2 in August but are really planning for January, 2016.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

For Visajourney estimates and timelines, you use the "notice date" that is printed on your NOA1 (the box to the right of the "Notice Type" box. Your NOA1 should say "receipt" in the "notice type" box, which is why some people here call it a "receipt date".

And yes, we're all in this together here in the TSC hellhole and there is nothing more we can really do about it. Many people here worked very, very hard to get attention to this issue and to get the workflow and processing times evened out. And apparently someone somewhere heard that there was a problem. But their fix for the problem was NOT to take people already in line at TSC and transfer them to CSC, as would make sense. Nope, it's just to divert all incoming petitions to the service center with the shortest "line" to prevent this sort of workload imbalance from ever happening again. But it will do exactly nothing to help those already in line.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

It is definitely possible. There is *MAYBE* some truth to the claim that they had a big hiring spree and that TSC should be speeding up. I mean--they did do the hiring, and these folks are being trained. The only questions are-- are they going to be assigned to work on I-129fs; is it *actually* going to speed up the process at all or is it "throwing good money after bad"; will any speed up at TSC just cause a backlog elsewhere in the process (NVC, for example).

There's no way of knowing. The best thing to do, as Baron suggested, is to just prepare for a long wait and hope it goes faster. I won't tell you what you "should have done" because that's rude and also how were you supposed to know before starting this process that TSC is a living nightmare? I certainly didn't know, and I made some really key decisions along the way based on *incorrect* information that I got from USCIS, State and immigration attorneys. Now, of course, I know that Visajourney has the more accurate and up-to-date information but really, to a newbie...how on EARTH are they supposed to know that? That some random (and honestly, completely jaded and negative) people on an old-school webforum actually know better than lawyers and the government? How are you supposed to know that you're entering into a process in which you pay for the privilege of being lied to, ignored, treated unfairly etc etc? No one in their right minds realizes this until they're in it, and once you're in it (and just as jaded and negative as the next guy on here), yeah of course it's obvious, but to those NOT captive to this process, it is completely un-intuitive. So no. There's NO way you "should have" known anything different from what the timetables provided by the government entities involved and paid professional "experts" who allegedly work with this for a living.

Now, though. Yes. Plan for the process to take almost a year and rejoice if it takes less. Ignore the CSC folks as much as you can (it's impossible to be perfect about this. I wish it was possible to blanket-ignore anyone assigned to CSC on this forum but it's not). Try to see if you can visit. Thank your lucky stars that you're not already married (that process takes twice as long).

One thing I sometimes find comfort in is that I am going through this journey with many others. Only unless you walk through this could you understand what it feels like to be separated by government paperwork that sometimes does not make any sense whatsoever nor is fair to everyone. We are on our fourth month. I still hope that the process

will somehow go faster than expected but I am not that confident at this point since the newer filers have been routed to the CSC and seemingly are getting approved quickly.

How is it that California is more efficient than Texas? There have been many answers to this one for sure.

There is nothing you can do to change the process and you have to learn to deal with that. The more you compare your case with other cases the more frustrated you are going to get, that is not healthy for you.

Im also sorry you feel that way but you will have to wait. Look at my timeline and at the very end got my congressman and senator its unfortunate but you are not yet even past your processing time you have sometime to go before you lose it mentally...i also felt the same way i was at the the transfer and the unfairness of approvals but it is what it is.we gotta wait

I'm sorry but you submitted your i129f in February of this year?! Don't look at other timelines... you've barely waited three months. I know its hard but we had radio silence from USCIS from Nov. 5 to April 17th... we were EXTREMELY lucky to have been approved in just under six months at Texas Service Center. When I looked at others timeline's I was realistic with our wait- I expected a minimum of eight months. Yes California is a million times faster but looking at those timelines will not help you feel better. The more you say you can't wait the more it will feel like you can't. Focus on the positives. In the meantime maybe there is something else you can focus on. Can you and your fiance plan a trip in the meantime?
