Okay...I see you are worried because you met online and married each other after only one trip. The reality is that this is not unusual any more. As long as you have good evidence of a bonafide relationship and do a good job of preparing you paper work, you will have no problems. Lots and lots of people get visas with many more red flags than that.

The biggest sticking point I see on here is that people do not make enough money to big over a spouse. People post on and on about problems with low income, finding joint-sponsors, and the additional paperwork required for having a joint sponsor. As another poster said, be sure you maintain a steady and acceptable income flow.

As for the discussion as to whether K-1/CR-1 is better, everyone who has been on this site for more than a month knows the pros and cons of the two options, and people will choose the one that is best for their individual situation. It was unproductive to this discussion to bring up the K-1 because the OP was already married.

lol, I spent like $50,000 just in a year, going back and forth to my in wife in Ukraine, and I hope it is worth it

The process for the K1 visa may cost more in the long run but trips back and forth to the Philipiines surely eat up any saving very fast, hahahaha

Yes you can however the orginal post was the gentleman had been back forth to the Philippines a few times. Which should be the norm if you plan to spend the rest of life with your wife. Meeting online does not constitute a relationship. After spending over 30 years in the Philippines I know a few thing about the Philipiines.

Agree, same applies to a K1 so the "Extra cost of trips" you quote is mute.

K1 cost more in the long run than CR1 / IR1
