I-129F petition delayed by 3 extra months :( please help!

Oh, and they say 60 days but most people are approved within a couple weeks after their rfe response is received. It will probably be much sooner than 60. This process can bring the best of us to our breaking point. Be strong and help her be strong too.

Just make sure you respond with what they want. I didn't see that you answered my question before. Both of you need signed letters of intent so if she hasn't sent one, get her to do that ASAP and mail it back to you express.

I got an RFE, for a new medical, it was approved the same day they said they got my new paperwork. There was no extra waiting time.

This. If you didn't send two seperate letters of intent, one signed by you and the other by your fiance, then prepare for another RFE.

Usually they send just the one RFE and if your response to it isn't good enough they deny the petition. There's nothing to stop them re-filing if that does happen though, they just need to make sure they include all the paperwork the next time around. Hopefully though they'll get their approval very soon.

DID YOU, make sure that each of you sent a letter of intent? If not, then you have more trouble coming.

after my rfe of letter of intent too which we replied, they came telling us we will either hear from them or get notified of further action in 60days. I almost cried. but in less than 10days we got approved. Great God..........

so do not panic, its same thing like mine. u will get approved in less than two weeks ok.

I agree with those people who say you need to check your fiances intentions. If you're aware of it, at the interview they'll be aware of it.

When my fiance and I thought we found something that might get us denied, our reaction wasn't "GOD THIS IS TO HARD". No we had a good cry and then we said, well if it happens then we try again when we can, even if it's a year or two from now, we will be together, we have to be patient to have the reward.

We've been together a couple of years already, we'd wait more years if we had too. If we get RFE's, we take a deep breath and we fix it together.

Granted everything worked out, but neither of our reactions were to just throw in the towel. This is a hard process.

Make sure your fiance is involved in the process, make sure she knows how it works. Sit down and have a conversation about the steps taken, how long the average time takes, what happens if you get an RFE. Her reactions could be a great signal for future reactions to things that don't work out well.

This is the key, IMHO.

I can see a USC possibly stringing along a foreigner that the process has already started when they didn't even file.

Good luck to the OP. One day when she walk out of POE with a welcome to America and she will forget all the necessary, IMHO, hardship.

I did send 2 letters of intent signed from both of us. I tried filling my timeline, not sure if it's showing or if I did it right.
