Hello VJ community! Just joined today - we are about to file our I-130 in a couple of weeks and begin the (hopefully-not-too-long) journey to a green card.

We have been married for over 2 years and live together oversease (Barcelona) so we are eventually applying for the CR-1/IR-1 visa.

I am wondering about this question on the I-130 (question 18) - it asks for the address where we intend to live. At this point, it is not entirely clear, since we will be moving to the States together and starting our life there. One option is to put the address of my parents (in WA state - I am currently a resident of CA, but do not have a "permanent" residence there) - the other is to put the address of a house I own (also in WA, currently a rental, but I have a hunch this would look "good" on the application, that we are moving to a house that I already own)...

Does anyone have a suggestion for this? I am tempted to put the address of this house I own, but if any very important mailings come there (not sure why they would because our current address is listed everywhere as here in Spain), that would not be good, since I would have to ask my renters to forward them along. I'd rather avoid that. Also - is that the address used for all future correspondance once we are in the States? What if that changes? I know we just file a change of address with the UCIS, but I don't want to put an address now that might get us into confusion later.

Thanks for your help!

Uscis will send mail to address you filled on the first part so to Spain. For intending address you can fill your parents address if you wish. uSCIs won't send anything to this address.

After you'll move back you will have to file I-865 ( change of petitioner/sponsor address)
