Did you try searching under "immigrant visa" or "non-immigrant visa"? If you search under "immigrant" it should work, but it will come up empty if you choose "non-immigrant".

I have done both ways, one will say invalid case number. The other will yeld the result of this search return no data.

TravandLhen,

I am having the same problem. I tried the same thing you did and get the same results.

Hopefully next week it starts working, and they send our applications to the embassies :) .

My last suggestion: make sure your case # has 3 letters and 10 digits. Another common "mistake" people make is they didn't hear their case number correctly and either a) missed a number/digit or b) added one by accident.

usmsbow,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have the case number formatted as follows: CSB2015######. It is three letters and 10 numbers. As we have both indicated the system responds differently if the number is not formatted properly or is not a true number. We are getting the same response and our case numbers were given at around the same time (within one day of each other).

Maybe it is just that they haven't entered our numbers into the tracking system, I don't see any reason to suspect it is user error or a "mistake" on our parts. The fact that we get the same response from the system when we enter the number we were given adds to my doubt that either of us captured the wrong number from our calls to NVC.

Unfortunately, we are left to speculate and just wait at this point, but I will continue to share what I am experiencing hoping it helps others with knowing what to expect.

Thanks :)

I have 3 letters and 10 digits, I have experimented and add/subtract numbers to see what message I get it and it's ID Case number was not found. So I know I have the right amount of numbers and letters, because the message I get says your search returned with no data.

This is unfortunate! It sounds like there may be some delays in the ceac.gov site, maybe? The March 2015 filer page showed some people's status did not updated to "In Transit" - it just went straight to "Ready".

It makes me wonder if my case is delayed any too; we have been waiting for our interview to be scheduled for longer than I thought we would have been. You two may want to call either Monday or Tuesday since getting the ceac updates are important during the rest of the process.

You can call NVC soon. I received my case # the day they said they received it. They also gave me an invoice number and beneficiary ID, but I don't think we will need to use that.

For the affidavit, I am sending the form, my tax return transcripts, copies of my Form W-2's and the letter I received from my job offer last year. Oh, and pay stubs as well.

Each embassy requires something different. You will find out what they require when you get the "packet 3" from them. You can check the embassy's page as well. There may be more information there.

Hi Everyone

From the VJ guide for I 134 Supporting docs"

You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:

(A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance
(B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)
© If Self Employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern
(D) List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

So here is my question, is the Tax return needed if you are not self employed? or will the W-2 et al be sufficient?

if it is required, can this be a copy or does this too have to be an original?

applied for N400 whilst I751 was pending, however I751 was approved without an interview on Jan 10th /11th

N-400 applied Online: 11/7/18

Depends on the CO and embassy. A w-2 and current pay stubs should be sufficient. I didn't provide a letter of employment. It's pretty easy to get your tax return transcript from the IRS website though.

Amhara,

I called NVC this morning and verified my case# and what I had was 100% correct. They have our package at NVC and it has not left for the embassy yet.

The lady said the K-1's do not sit at NVC very long and that the CEAC site is suffering technical difficulties at this time.
