Hi all. Recently, NVC told me the only document they need from me is DS260 which I submitted May 1st. Now, how do I know my case is complete? Would NVC send me an email or a mail or would something indicate that on my account on CEAC website?

Also, how do I track my case once NVC tells me it's been sent to consulate overseas?

Thank you!

You should get an email approximately 5-7 days after your case is complete at the NVC. The email would say one of two things....case complete and now wait for interview or your interview has been scheduled for..... We went straight to interview and did not receive a case complete email.

You can also call and ask....which we did...

You can track your file overseas by using one of the tabs on the CEAC website...

~~moved to progress reports from process and procedures~~

Ways to know your case is complete at the NVC and in line for an interview:

  • When you have 3 N/A's on your CEAC you likely have a case complete (Basically when the AOS fee goes from PAID to N/A because the other two are always there.)
  • When you call the NVC and they say you have a case complete
  • When you get an email saying you have a case complete.

That was super fast. I submitted my DS260 on May 1st and NVC hasn't reviewed it as of this morning when I called. I guess how fast your case is reviewed depends on the officer handling each your case.

That's a good thing cuz now when they review ur packages they are going to see ur ds-260 and if everthing is all right they gonna complete ur case. In my case they reviewed both packages too soon, I sent them together so when they review them ds-260 was not able on the webaite yet.

Lets cross our fingers!!! I submitted my DS-260 form on May 4th, my AOS and IV package was reviewed and I got a checklist for the DS-261 form grrrr.... It was filled out but somehow "locked" in the system. After 2 phonecalls a NVC rep referred to a supervisor and was able to review my form on the phone.

Good luck everyone! keep us updated.
