Exactly. You have to admit, though, that closing five stores across several states on the same day for the alleged same issue is a bit odd. And nothing being done about said issue at the local store here - it's all I know from local reporting - adds to the oddity of it all. Something isn't right with this. I know a couple people who lost their jobs locally. They had no notice. Yes, they get paid their average wage for 8 weeks but only because state law requires it. Otherwise, they'd be completely fcuked.

The appropriate question is not who makes these stupid graphs but who is incapable of reading these simple graphs?

The graphs show the percent increase for productivity and hourly compensation relative to 1948. The increase in 1948 relative to 1948 naturally is 0%.

The graphs show that hourly compensation and productivity went hand-in-hand for decades and then the de-coupling started.

That's not BS, that's fact. Only the uneducated refuse to accept it.

ETA: Productivity is output per unit of input. Economy 101.
