I contacted my local senator's office today and I was given a form to fill out and mail back with all the information that can help them look into my case. I will fill it out and hope I can get an answer soon. This long distance is seriously starting to affect my relationship as I have been apart from my fiancee for 3 years now :(

I emailed the form to my husband in Costa Rica, he printed it, signed it and scanned it back . I wasn't about to wait for the mail. Try scanning it and emailing it back to save time.

Also, I was separated from my husband for 3 years. At times, we thought it would never happen. It's so much garbage to go through. But he's here and everything is ok. It was a long, long journey. I hope you get some answers

Yes it is getting really hard for us too. We have been going through some tough times and the distance makes it even harder but I love my fiancee and I dont want to give up on this and specially not her! All these stories of success make me continue to have faith in all of this! Thank you all for your support.

I was able to find the following information: My case was received on September 12 2014 and it is with the Nebraska office. They are currently working on cases from October 2 2014 which is almost one month after mine was received. They have entered a query with USCIS to provide us with information on our case status as our case is past its processing time frames and I should hear from them within 15-30 days. I hope it is not bad news and I really hope we get this approved!

Don't bother with a service request. Call your senator's office and have then make an inquiry for you. They are able to get a detailed answer much much faster.

Yes I already scanned my fiancee the local office's letter of consent so that my local senator's office can look into my case. I hope we can get an answer as soon as possible. Does anyone know how long it may take once the form is received by my local senator´s office?

It all depends on how fast they want to work. Every office is different. Our senator's office usually got back to us within a few days, never more than a week. I have heard of some offices taking a month. You have to keep on top of them if they take more than a week to get back to you. Make sure you ask specific questions so they will know to ask USCIS.

It also depends on how your senator's office contacts the USCIS. It's usually an email. There it's a separate section at the USCIS that answers congressional inquiries.

Okay I have attached as much information and questions about the case as I could. I did not make it full of questions or background story but enough to get us some answers and some expections as we have put off our wedding for 8 months already. I hope we can hear back from them soon and I will let you all know about my process when I get approved because I believe I will get approved :) thank you all for the information!

So I just got a letter from USCIS stating the following:

Thank you for filing form I-601 Application for Waiver of grounds of inadmissibility
We, US Citizenship and immgration services (USCIS) on September 12 2014 under section 2 12 (A(9(B(B) of the immgration and notionality act (INA)
After thorough review USCIS must inform you that we are closing your application as explained below:
On march 11 2015, the US embassy consulate CD Juarez informed USCIS that they have withdrawn the inadmissibility determination and you no longer require a waiver under INA Section 2012 (A9 Bill) consequently USCIS has terminated all actions in this case and notified the consulate.
If you have any questions about visa issues please contact the US Consulate Juarez"
This is roughly what is says but what does it mean?

Oh my god!!! I cannot believe it!!! :D that means I get to go back and see my family and be with my fiancee again!! This is awesome!! Have you ever heard of this before? A case being pulled because the waiver no longer applies?

You still need to contact the consulate and see how they want to proceed. It doesn't mean you're getting the visa. The consulate still has the final decision.

I have already been contacted by the Consulate at Juarez and they send me instructions for a new interview. It appears that I was right. On February of this year I did three years since I came back to Mexico and I guess that counted as my ban so I can go back to Juarez to interview again! Fingers crossed so that we can finally get this done!! :D
