Well I woke up to bad news this morning and just feel like we are in a dead end.

My husband texted me in the middle of the night letting me know that our co sponsor has pulled out on helping me as his husband wasn't feeling it. His words not ours.

It took us months to be able to find someone that would help us out with a co sponsor and we reached out to everyone we know and even people we didn't know so well.

So my question is, I have heard in the past that some lawyers can assist in finding a co sponsor?

Is this true?

Also does anyone know of any other route we can go down to find one?

I know people may say tell my husband to get a second job or use assets etc but at this moment in time he is trying to find a second job that fits in with his current and I sold my assets off to clear all our current debts to enable us to start saving.

I just feel so lost and lonely and just don't know where to turn with it now. I'm willing to do just about anything to be able to move forward with this so that we can finally start our life's together.

Never heard of a lawyer being able to do that, where did you hear it?

I did come across a situation where somebody had paid somebody else to be a sponsor. Do not believe it is illegal.

Technically, anyone who is over 18, domiciled in the US, a US Citizen / LPR and has the assets/income can be your joint sponsor. They don't have to know you, so it's possible that a stranger can do it for you but seems odd all 'round.

It's unlikely that a stranger would want to make a 10 year commitment to another stranger without some sort of compensation - there's gotta be a catch in there somewhere.

You need to send your feelers out again - re-ask family, friends, colleagues.

* I-130/CR-1 visa by Direct Consular Filing in London
3rd May 2013 - Married in London
7th May 2013 - I-130 filed
4th June 2013 - NOA2 (approved)
16th July 2013 - Interview (approved)
30th July 2013 - POE San Francisco
29th August 2013 - 2 year green card arrived

* Removal of Conditions (RoC) via California Service Centre
1st May 2015 - 90 day RoC window opened
6th May 2015 - I-751 filed (delivered 8th May, cheque cashed 18th May)

* Naturalisation (Citizenship) via Phoenix Lockbox

* San Francisco Field Office:
