The King of the House comes with certain responsibilities. Please enlighten us as to what a "King of a House" does?

It was a pathetic attempt at a joke. Have no illusion that i am the king of anything.

I cooked my wife a nice breakfast. egg, Rice, duru duru , spam.

My wife is a pampered woman.

You're missing a HUGE option. Fear plain and simple. The fear of not being good enough for someone else, or even perhaps the fear of violence and/or other abuses.

This is the one I was looking for.

I used to be ashamed to talk about it but being ashamed and keeping to yourself about it only makes them win.

I was in a physically, and even more so, mentally abusive relationship for almost 7 years. And I`ll tell you if I hadn`t met my fiance I would either be dead or still with my ex, barely hangin on. I believed, after all those years that this was all I deserved. I was also terrified, not only for my own life, but for that of my family. Getting daily threats my then 4yo nephew would "be found and taken care of" if I would escape, wasn`t something I took lightly. So I stayed.

I filed conplaints at the local police office several times. N`either of them were found "bad" enough to prosecute him. My complaints got dismissed. We`re talking cutting me with scissors, beating my face up till both his thumbs broke,...

So if the police wouldn`t help me, who would I run to?

That`s why I stayed.

My fiance helped me get out of that situation. He helped me breaking up with him getting away from him and finding protection with my family and police while he couldn`t physically be here for me. I feel guilty towards my fiance that he is the one that had to clean up the mess that I had become, while he had no part whatsoever in creating that mess. But he has done it with love, and he still does it with love. He is the sweetest most caring man I have ever come across and I count my blessings every day that he has been sent on my path to rescue me. And while I always thought I had given my ex all of me, my fiance is getting way more love than I could ever give him.

Sorry for the seemingly sob story, but it`s actually a very happy story, with the most beautiful ending :)
