Hi guys,

My wife's PD is april 09 2014 and I have not received any welcome letter from NVC, yet.

I was wondering whether I will be able to pay the AOS fee (and then the IV fee) only provided that I receive that letter.

In other words, is there any chance I can pay the fees regardless of the receipt of the welcome letter (meaning: before than that)?

Thank you

This is what exactly says in the letter.

Dear sir/madam,

The national visa center received your documents on 30-April-15.

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from Uscis as a result, we are expecting increased review times for documents received.

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents.

We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.

Hi hardik03,

I already have CN and IN (but mine is a "special" case as I filed through the Direct Consular and therefore it took me only one month and half to get the PD at the USCIS stage and have my wife's case sent to NVC where they gave me CN and IN one year ago).

However, since my petition falls into the "ordinary ones" - I am a permanent resident that filed for his wife (FB2A) - I am still not able to pay the fees.

And in fact, if I go to the CEAC website the IV fee is "Not Invoced" (but at least there is the box to select once the fee can be paid) whereas in the AOS fee the "Payment Status" do not even say "Not Invoiced" (it does not say anything).

Of course this does not surprise me because I know the NVC is not working on april 2014 yet.

Like I said above, I was only wondering whether or not the ability to pay the fees depends on the receipt of the welcome letter..
