I believe he just sent an email saying he had assembled all the applicable documents. It seems that what they want to know is "do you have your paperwork in order and ready to bring to an interview?" And how exactly you answer that (with check marks or initials or the exact wording of an email) is probably less important. Be clear that you're ready and I would guess you'll be just fine!

you came across just fine, lol. I know I'm sweating the details, I'm just nervous and really want things to go over well. I mailed off the checklist today, and will be emailing them shortly, I guess that's all I can do for now.

It'll be okay. The interview for Canadians is normally a cake walk. Almost everyone is like OMG i'm so scared and come out saying it's easiest thing ever! LOL To be honest it was the part I was LEAST worried about.
