question about affidavit of support

My wife was making above the poverty line for household of 3 ( me her n step kid) when we sent it to the immigration. however, we knew that in two weeks she is going to change jobs after we submitted the applications and her income will be below the %125 of poverty line for house hold of 3 members...The application already went through and etc. All this happened back in December of 2014. It is today 2015 and I got my EAd back in February. I was able to get a job with the state as a cps worker with my bachelor degree and I'm going to make 35k yearly. With her income and mine combined it is 57k. are they going to find out? will i get in trouble ?

As personal opinion, I would say since they require most recent year(2014), we are in 2015 and didn't get to file for taxes, I would think 2014 matters the most...let's wait for other answers:)

2014 year taxes is all you need, not the 2015, because it's not due for filing until next year.

I think you will be fine since she met the requirement at the time of the filing.

Should you get questioned...since she's projected to gross $22k this year,

then she's only short by 3k, which can be covered with (3x) asset (~9k)

or another short-term part time job.

So if you want to play safe until you get the GC, save up 10k aside ASAP.

Congrats on finding the job so quick.

she's comfortable enough to drive to (some future) work by herself. :-)

I'm 26 and didn't get my driving license until february the 25th after I got an offer from the Child Protective Services. Luckily I was driving my wife's car prior getting my driving license, shhhh, but it helped me to learn. Well i had the learner permit but i did drive alone sometimes . However, I failed two times the driving test and luckily I passed my test 2 days before the interview date. Now I'm waiting for my green card interview. I submitted my application back in Nov 25th 2014 and still waiting... I received on the 22nd of january an update that they're working on scheduling me an interview date but I haven't received any date, deadline date or any notifications.
