U.S policy has changed on immigration. Obama wants to take care of illegals first rather than the folks who are filing the legal way.

All this because so he can get votes and become a fad of a President.

He's not running for anything.

Hello All,

We wanted to share the good news. We finally got our approval on June 25, 2015. The actual letter of approval, Notice of Action 2, came in the mail today. All in all, it took 361 days to receive our approval. We basically got our Senator, the Ombudsman, and our Representative involved. We believe it was probably a combination of Senator John Cornyn's inquiry, the Ombudsman, and Representative John Culberson's inquiry that prodded USCIS to move along with our case. We now look forward to a speedy rest of the journey.

My Fiancé and I wanted to thank all of you who replied with kind words of encouragement and advice. We also wanted to thank the VisaJourney community for the wealth of information and all the helpful guides / how-to's on this site.

We sincerely hope and pray that those who have been waiting for their approval for a long time will get their approval soon. Get the right people involved and don't lose hope.

You seem positive and upbeat from your post. Hats off to you. If I was in your shoes, I'd be raging beyond belief. Basically a full year for you to get your NOA2. Is this some kind of joke?

I mean, there is no way on earth it takes a full year. Most likely scenario is, it was lost somewhere in some forgotten box for a good 6 months and they finally found the box.

Hello - We have been waiting 290 days and I was just wondering if you had any advice for us? Should we just sit and wait it out? We've contacted a senator, spoken to tier 2, raised inquiries...is there anything else that we can do?

Congratulations on finally getting it approved.

Thanks,
Jade

Hello All,

Just wanted to share our experience with applying for a K1 Visa (I-129F).

My Fiancé and I are now at 300 days and counting for an NOA2.

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=days+since+July+3rd+2014

Received our NOA1 on July 3rd, 2014.

Received an email stating that a 'recent processing action has been taken on your case' on December 9th, 2014.

Filed a General Inquiry via phone with USCIS on February 17th, 2015. This inquiry still has not been assigned for processing as of today.

Emailed Texas Service Center 'TSC.NCSCfollowup@uscis.dhs.gov' on March 17th, 2015. Still no response to this email as of today.

Submitted an 'Outside Normal Processing Time' Online Case Inquiry on April 9th, 2015. This inquiry still has not been assigned for processing as of today.

Emailed USCIS Headquarters 'scopsscata@dhs.gov' on April 20th, 2015. Still no response to this email as of today.

Physically went to an InfoPass Appointment at the USCIS Center in Houston, Texas on April 24th, 2015. The officer said that "I see that you have been waiting for a while, but unfortunately your case is still pending." "There doesn't appear to be any negatives or red flags on your case." "There is a serious backlog." He could not provide any more information. He then said that he would send a message to the Texas Service Center regarding our case.

Only other options left to explore are contacting a Senator / Congressman or http://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance.

Very frustrated.

Today is day 204 for us. We filed March 9, 2015. We are stuck in black hole in Texas. It is really becoming a stressful situation to deal with.

I am in your shoes as well. I applied for K1 visa on January 2015 and I am still waiting for NOA2. I opened service request on September and they said I have to wait for 45 days to get response back. I am still waiting for that. Every time I call them USCIS says my case is pending and some one it looking into it. I don't know what else to do after all these. This is obviously frustrating and unacceptable. I don't know how long we have to suffer like this.

*Email the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV

"The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems"

Also, here is a good write up on how to proceed with a congressional inquiry. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/505860-letter-to-the-representativesenator/
