Meanwhile, I'll be lucky if I *see* my fiance in calendar year 2015, AND we had a (confirmed) USCIS agent in here the other day threatening to make our petitions take longer for daring to complain about TSC.

Ummm... How was this confirmed? Do you have a link or anything? I wasn't aware of this.

I'm not really in the business of sharing someone else's personal information online (no matter what else they've done themselves), but it was very clear after only a very small bit of a very common method of searching that the person in question really is a recent USCIS hire, and is at TSC. It is also clear that he's tried to cover himself up and has deleted much of his paper trail. Either way, the person on the thread claiming to be a recent hire at TSC was telling the truth about that.

Here is the thread in question. He deleted his own posts but you can see him asking for one person's A-number and generally making thinly veiled threats to make the process longer.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)

04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

Wow. That was extremely risky on his part. TSC might have just lost a new adjudicator if someone reported him.

Thanks for the link. Funny, I was keeping up with that thread in the beginning & even posted in it, but stopped keeping up with it & missed the show. I'll be reading that into tomorrow, since I'm about to be off work & off this till then.

Hm, interesting. We filed in February and got assigned to the CSC. On April 10, we got an RFE which we just replied to. Hoping, hoping, hoping for a quick decision once they get our additional evidence.

Here's the one silver lining for us -- I live in a suburb of Vancouver so once the interview time finally comes, all I have to do is go to the Consulate downtown.

You're lucky. We have to drive from Toronto to Montreal for our interview - about 4 hours or so. You should actually have your RFE processed rather soon, though. I've read others have had responses from RFEs in about a month at CSC.

Is your petition at CSC or TSC? Your timeline says Texas, but you just stated that you are assigned to California. We would just like our timeline to be accurate. Thank you!

Thanks for the heads up on that, I fixed it now. I thought we were supposed to indicate where we originally sent it, but it is indeed California that is handling our petition, because it was assigned there.

Everyone is saying that the CSC processes quickly, but I'm not sure that's the case for us. It took 2 months just to get an RFE (it turned out they wanted further proof of my intent to marry, I'm the Canadian).

I checked our mail package tracking and CSC has now received our Evidence -- I'm extremely curious as to how much longer it will be before they make a decision.

As to whether you get Texas or California -- does it have something to do with geography? ie., if the fiance is coming from around the Pacific Rim or West Coast of the Americas, you get California, and if you're from Europe or elsewhere it's Texas? I wonder.

Does the petitioner also have to attend the interview? I thought it was only the beneficiary who attends.

2 months isn' really long, is it? The official process length - also at TSC is 5 months. You usually get a reply to a RFE within a few weeks to a few months.

Regarding the assignment of Service Centers, it is based on geography of the petitioner, no the beneficiary. Read the attached link.

As of March 27th 2015, however, they began routing all new petitons to CSC, no matter where the petitoner lives, to ease backlog. This is why a lot of TSC filers like me are pissed of. New filers get quicker Service, while our cases are stuck for almost a year. There are people who have filed 3.5 months after me and have already been approved while I am looking at 8 months or more just to get NOA-2.

So when we recieve our NOA2 in the mail it will have the list of things we need to do to complete?

I have a question about sponsorship, One of my parents is going to be sponsorship since I live out of country with my spouse; How do we do it from outside the usa?

Also if Its joint custody, can I use my foreign mother in law income as joint sponsor?

No, the NOA-1 provides no such information - the embassy you are interviewing with will let you know what they want.

A sponsor has to be a US resident.

Yes, 2 months is very fast. Obviously 3 weeks is faster, but the time estimates provided upon application is 5 months for NOA1 to NOA2. CSC is averaging around 4 weeks, while TSC is averaging 30 weeks (7.5 months). So yes, you came in above average for CSC but in terms of what you were told to expect and compared to most other people who applied at the same time as you, 2 months is very, fast.

It is extremely likely that people who applied on the very same day as I did will through the entire process, have immigrated and been married for a few months I even hear back from USCIS to start with the next steps. Actually, people who applied after me will be, too. And it's nothing to do with countries of origin or complexity of cases. It all had to do with the state in which the petitioner lived. There's no holdup because of "red flags" at this stage. It's quite simply a line. My folder has been on some shelf somewhere for 2.5 months, and will be for about another 5 months or so before someone takes it down and looks at it for 15 to 20 minutes.

Not your fault, obviously---all on USCIS. Just because USCIS let the "line" at TSC get out of control, failed to act for months, and when they did act did it a bit backwards (imagine the line at the grocery store. One express lane one regular. Regular line is out the door and around the corner so they open up express lane to everyone....but won't let anyone switch lines. So if you were in the "regular" line before the switch, you're staying in it, even if you're out the door and around the corner. And everyone else, even if they got to the store hours after you did, are allowed in the express lane). But yes. Yes. 2 months is very, very fast.

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site
