Why do you think yours happened so fast? Is your situation special in any way?

Nope, not at all. We were going to send off the paperwork in February, but kind of dragged our feet getting our passport style photos taken. I guess procrastination worked out in our favor because if we would have filed in February, we would have likely been processed at TSC.

Congrats! But can you please let us know what 3 letters your Case Number starts with? WAC or SRC? WAC stands for California Service Center, SRC for Texas Service Center. If it is WAC, please update

Hm, interesting. We filed in February and got assigned to the CSC. On April 10, we got an RFE which we just replied to. Hoping, hoping, hoping for a quick decision once they get our additional evidence.

Here's the one silver lining for us -- I live in a suburb of Vancouver so once the interview time finally comes, all I have to do is go to the Consulate downtown. :dance:

Congrats to all the petitions approved I see here today.

It is great to see good news on here.

TCS, is just a "cesspool" of inadequate management, poor judgments by management.

Cases, should have been sent to CSC 10 months ago, but I am sure that the TSC wanted to keep all cases possible.,.,.,it is just an opinion.

Our NOA2 was also approved today! We are celebrating right now! My fiancé is here visiting me and we're very happy! We'll keep our fingers crossed for everyone still waiting. Don't worry, you'll get your NOA2s soon!

Please use a little bit more empathy. Congrats on your approvals - you can be with your loved one soon. But those of us stuck at TSC will NOT get our NOA-2 "soon" - on average, each and every one of us has to wait 8 months on average and it is getting progressively worse.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Is your petition at CSC or TSC? Your timeline says Texas, but you just stated that you are assigned to California. We would just like our timeline to be accurate. Thank you!

Please use a little bit more empathy. Congrats on your approvals - you can be with your loved one soon. But those of us stuck at TSC will NOT get our NOA-2 "soon" - on average, each and every one of us has to wait 8 months on average and it is getting progressively worse.

8 months is a lot better than 8 years! Think about all the lawful permanent residents who have petitioned for their spouses and/or children. Some have literally been waiting years! A coworker of mine has been waiting nearly three years for her family to be able to live here. Or, what about those who were denied, paperwork lost, waiting on an RFE response, etc? While I do empathize with those who are being processed at TSC, I do not sympathize with anyone who is stomping their feet and crying :crying: because they have to wait a few extra months. Before you filed, you knew the average wait times, had you done the research (I'm sure you have), so you knew what the process was all about and what you were getting yourself into.

As I said, fingers crossed for those waiting. You WILL receive a response SOON :yes: (relatively speaking).

Well, you get to be smug - you lucked out in being assigned to the fast Service Center, the rest of us are screwed, despite paying the same fees we are not getting the same service. And yes, us TSCer have done our research, when we filed approval times were under 6 months, now they are almost 8. I fail to see how that has any impact - it is not like you can chose a service center or visa process when you apply.
