I use Xoom.com as well. You can send money online to be deposited directly to a bank account in the Philippines. It's also cheaper than Western Union.

Xoom. My wife uses it to send money back home. We do not like the Western Union online site, and she doesn't want to have to go to the store just to send money.

We used Transfast for many years. They were great. Found them to be the cheapest, fastest and friendly.

When my bank was bought out by Wells Fargo, I was able to send via the bank. 3 Clicks and 1 min later the money is in the bank in the Philippines and ready for use. $5.00 per transactions for about to $500 and decent exchange rates.

Just depends on the amount?

Are you sending small amount? Or talking about sending money to buy a house/lot?

We use Wells Fargo Bank because you can transfer from the US to the Phils; banks like BPI, Metrobank, DBO. And because I have a special account(direct deposit from pensions) with Wells Fargo that my cost is only $2 per transaction and send up to $3000 per day or $12,500 per 30 days. I have been doing this since 2010 with no problem.

You can also use Remitly where charge's cheaper. They can pick-up the money transferred through Cebuana, M.Luillier, Tambunting or Villarica. Tell your receiver to bring valid ID and to list down the reference #.

My fiance and I been using Remitly for months now. We started through Xoom then we found out that Remitly put cheaper charges.

Hope this help. God bless.
