Will the shutdown of Baltimore Federal Offices affect my processing?

Hi All,

My application to adjust from H1B (we got married on March 17th) is currently being handled by national benefits center but it will be being passed over to the Baltimore office at some point as my local office. I'm trying to figure out whether my processing will be delayed by the federal shutdown in Baltimore? I had my biometrics taken last week (on April 21st), and I don't know when in the process the transfer usually happens. If anyone has any info on a) when in the process the transfer to local offices happens, and b) what happens when local offices are shut, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Kate.

Thanks Nancy!

I'm good with patience (I know that this can be a *long* process), but it did make me realize that I don't know the answer to my 2 questions (when transfers usually happen from MSC to local offices, and what happens if an office is in shutdown), so I'd really appreciate it if anyone does have the answers to those points (and sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place - let me know and I can move it).

Well, then it seems we have to wait for couple days more, it doesn't take that long with shutdowns. Good luck.
