Amazing really is that this thread is about Obama and having no argument to contribute one should resort to diversion...

If only the mods were around I'm sure none of this off-topic hijacking posts would be allowed.

Back to topic:

Well done President Obama for condemning the indefensible. Expect this statement to be dissected beyond reason and criticized above the rationally plausible.

amusing that i mention bush, someone posts about reagan, and you claim victory.

Race relations haven't gone backwards 30 years so much as closet racists have been in a snit since the 2 time election of a Black man to the White House and honestly appear to think that they are cleverly covering up racist venting with code such as 'the Kenyan.' Although there is nothing new under the sun, literally EVERYTHING is somehow a direct result of said President but hey, it's just a political and not racism.

But you do know that it's Obama's fault that the racists came out of their closets, right?

I remember 2001, back before the invention of the camera

When was it that crack head Rodney King got his butt tore up. I think that was before cameras were invented in 2001, wasn't it

It depends on if we are Manic or depressive today in the ivory tower

we can argue back and forth about what is a riot and what is not. The fact is race relations have gone backward 30 years under Obama

How? I'm still trying to wrap my head around this ridiculous notion that somehow President Obama has put race relations back 30 years.

You're doing it wrong. This is not an argument around which you should try to wrap your head - it's the type of fallacy you need waders before you step into it...

I don't think he has done anything that past presidents haven't done.

I just find it mind boggling. He's expected to somehow eradicate centuries of racism in 8 years. When he speaks out on black people getting killed, it's a problem. If he says nothing, it's still a problem. What are people expecting?

I think using racially charged language over the Baltimore riots is problematic, but again I don't think it's something that others haven't or wouldn't have done.

Can't wait till this next election. If Clinton wins, it's going to be epic up in here...

I don't know why there's this call to label them as thugs. He could have called them criminals and had the same effect...

It's really simple, even for a navy man.

Is there more racial strife today or 8 years ago

or blacks better of today or 10 years ago

So we agree Obama used racist terminology.

Almost as bad as him saying, he was getting involved in the TM case becuse TM looked like his imaginary son

That's code word for I care simply cause he is black

Which is the same as saying if he was white WGAF

Blacks weren't good under a white president any more than they were under this one. He's America's president, not just ours. And what strife has he caused, because he said if he had a son, it would look like TM?

Second point kind of kills your argument. He got involved with TM, and this bothers you. Folks were all mad because he said something. And yet, you're saying he's not doing enough.

I am saying he admitted he only got involved cause he was black like him. Can you imagine a white president getting involved in one of the many daily killings of whites by blacks, and giving the reason becuse he was white.

Unfathomable

How daily are you talking about? If black people are killing whites in record numbers, why isn't there protests? I mean, you make seem like these folks kill white people and then walk. Saying I feared for my life, and get off the hook.

Pretty sure Reagan got involved with the whole Welfare Queen debacle, that stuck black with the stigma even since. The punchline? She was a white woman...

And what have the Republicans done? Are they running to Baltimore to help free the oppressed?
