Hi Everyone,

I jus have a question about my i-485 interview. So I am adjusting from F1 student visa, and sent all my applications in on 3/18.

After got my biometrics done on 4/17/2015, I checked back my application status as of today 4/27/2015. It says that they are ready to schedule an interview for i-485. But other two applications which is i-310 and i-765 havent changed at all.

so my question is,

does this happen a lot that other two hasnt changed and i-485 is ready to be scheduled for an interview already?

And, how long does it usually take for this status to change to the exact interview date? or they are jus gonna send me a notice to tell me the date?

I would really appreciate it if anyone could share experience with me.

Thank you,

Kyle

Consider yourself lucky, lots of people is struggling with RFE and prolonged interview schedule. They will adjust I-130 at I-485 interview, I-130 status will change same time with I-485. I-765 is processed by NBC, takes 3 months so you might have your interview before I-765 is adjusted. It is time to collect bonafide evidences, good luck.

great, thank you Nancy

but my concern is some people will jus get their interview date updated online directly without even seeing this (ready to schedule), so Im so worried that I will have to wait for another 3 or 4 months for this status to be changed. ://///

Hey!

I checked my status, and on 12/22/14 it changed to "interview ready to be scheduled." It did stay like that a couple of months, as my interview was in March. I believe it took this long for me because the office I would be going to gets a fair amount of traffic. Depending on how many people are going to the office where your interview will be, will affect how long you'll need to wait. I found out in February the time and date for my interview, so they do give a good heads up, at least in my case.

I guess I will have to wait for other 2 months for this to be updated since there should be a lot of people ahead of me, cos I live in Los Angeles and will be interviewed here.

Yes, I made a habit of checking my online status regularly, and in February I saw that it had been changed to "Your interview has been scheduled for 3/19/15". A few days later I received that mail notification, telling me the time and location of my interview.

I believe it was either a full month or a little under a month before the interview that they notified me. I'm sure it in part has to do with allowing people to get all the paperwork that's required together. They include a checklist of what you'll need to bring.

The waiting is hard, but after the interview everything seemed to go quickly. I was approved the same day as my interview, and my card arrived 11 days later. At least you were able to get to the interview stage without any hardship!

Hopefully your interview will be scheduled before too long. Best of luck to you!
