Interview Letter (P4) received! But they scheduled me on the other side of the continent...

I am Canadian - My husband, an American Citizen.



I received my Interview Letter today, but they have scheduled me for an appointment in Montreal - this is on the other side of the continent. I live on the outskirts of Vancouver, so I was hoping to be able to be scheduled in Vancouver.



Is there a way for me to reschedule so I don't have to travel so far (and spend so much)? I have tried looking online but I have not found any help yet. If I NEED to travel to Montreal then I can do it... I would just prefer not to

Montreal is the only consulate in Canada that processes spousal visas..... sorry.... but on the bright side, it's a lovely city and great time to see it :D

NVC... DONE  in 116 days from NOA2 to final CC

Final Steps... DONE in 350 days from NOA1 to POE
POE 08-11-2015 in Detroit, MI

07-11-2017 NOA1 date (rec'd on 14th)

08-03-2017 Daughter and I completed biometrics; May 2018 - I had to redo my biometrics (reason unknown)

WAC17283xxxxx....and we wait...400 days

07-13-2018 I-551 extension stamp (12 mths) obtained at USCIS office in Detroit

09-20-2018 Transferred to TSC

10-15-2018 Text notification "New Card Being Produced"   YAY!!

You should book a hotel as soon as possible. Montreal has lots of summer events like the Jazz festival, and it can get difficult to get a hotel. I stayed at the Phillips Square suites which had a kitchen and is right around the corner from the consulate.

August 1, 2015 POE reunited with my husband.

September 2015 ; 2 year green card received.

May 6th 2017 Package received USPS tracking

May 16th 2017 Check cashed

May 18th 2017 NOA1 received dated May 8, 2017

May 27th 2017 Biometrics received appointment June 7th, 2017

June 5th 2017 early walk in biometrics New Orleans

Airbnb is also an option plus you'll have a kitchen to save some money on meals...
