Can't believe browsing on my phone and a text came in from USCIS about case update l, I hurry to check what it was and I found this on May 19, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC159xxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. I have been approve for a 10 years green card and I am so greatful to God made it possible for me even when I doubted that it will be possible because of my domestic battery charge which was dismissed because I was innocent. God always has a way he does things and he always do it at his own time and he has done this great thing for me and am so greatful. It took a month and 4days since my interview to approval. Hope everybody who are still waiting gets approve soon. Thanks

Yes, I am also still waiting despite the fact that the officer said at the interview that my green card was approved. Have you done anything - phone calls, infopass, maybe an inquiry? What were you told during the interview?

I haven't called or made an infopass appointment, because from reading experiences from others here on VJ, both seems like you just get generic responses so it is just a waste of time. They really only know as much as we do. Also, she did say 6 - 8 weeks (I thought she meant I will get my card in 6 - 8 weeks, but now I know she probably meant I will get a decision in 6 - 8 weeks), and said she will recommend us for approval. Why it has to take so long, I don't understand. Tomorrow is 5 weeks.

That is strange that you are having to wait so long when you were approved! Maybe you should make an inquiry, if nothing else but to set your mind at ease :)

How to make an inquiry? When i try to submit an inquiry here (outside normal processing times) https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?sroPageType=onpti get some kind of an error saying 500 Servlet Exception and that "For input string: "The service or article

you selected is not compatible with form I485, sub-type selected, and receipt number MSC xxxxxx". How else can I make inquiry? Over the phone I am told that I need to wait for FIVE months before they can actually let us make any inquiry. Maybe there is a phone number that I dont know about? Or another way to do it?

And yes, the officer said that my green card was approved and also gave me a paper (though without his signature) saying that on April 30 I was granted conditional permanent residence. Moreover he mentioned 3-6 weeks that it would take for me to get a green card but also added that usually it happens sooner and faster. But so far no green card, no onine updates, no decision made. I dont really understand why it is taking so long.

Goodness, I wonder if service requests are in a sense "disabled" for a specific receipt number until it reaches a certain date (since the error message says "not compatible with....and receipt number MSCxxxx). I half understand why mine is taking so long, but if your interviewer specifically said you have been approved, I would call again and try to submit a request by phone. Unfortunately there are no other numbers (that I'm aware of anyways), just the one call center number.

I dont know what's wrong with their system, but when I check my I-131 petition online, the web-site says "Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time" but when I check my AOS petition I still get the same message. I know a person who is from the same country as I am, came here on the same visa (K1) and lives in the same state, went to the same field office 2 days ago and her status changed to "welcome notice" on the following day.

So it's not that the field office is overloaded with petitions.

And plus, we called again yesterday (yesterday it was 3 weeks since the interview) and no useful information was said. Only in addition that I cannot submit an inquiry before it's been 5 months.

I am just afraid that they lost my case (here is the irony - after the actual interview) but refuse to admit it.

I don't think you have to worry that they had lost it. I have a similar situation of someone that got approved and card ordered on the same day of interview at my local office, while I'm waiting weeks and weeks. Just the luck of the draw I guess. We were just unlucky (and everyone else would say it's a case by case bases and we shouldn't compare, which I am aware of, but at this late stage I don't feel like that apply anymore if you have already been told you are approved like you have). I know how frustrating it is, hang in there.

Agreed, it's very frustrating, especially after we were told that I was granted conditional permanent resident status. I mean the officer might have said absolutely nothing at all, or something along the lines like "You will be informed of my decision" and not give us any false hopes.

Has anyone heard anything yet? there's no news for us :(

It is really frustrating... At our interview the officer told us that we will receive a decision within 30-60 days. It has been 60 days and no news yet. We had an info pass appointment a couple of weeks ago and they said our case has been sitting on a shelf for 1.5 months and then it was assigned to an officer to be reviewed. I though I will keep you guys in the loop. please pray for us. I am getting really frustrated because when I was filing my application I did not know that it is going to take this long, so I did not apply for AP and now all our travel plans are up in the air because of this ridiculous long wait... :clock::cry:
