Keep in mind the fee you will pay to St. Lukes is for a full exam, including x-rays and vaccinations. So, a recommendation is not to have something done at your Doctor's, if it is going to be done in SLEC.

gotcha. Thanks for that... hehe i just want to have the medical certificate just in case they ask me about the meds i take now. And so that they wont make me see an endocrinologist (am sure i spelled that wrong haha). I think i read somewhere that if i need to see a specialist, there's a separate fee for that. :)

UPDATE: So i went to the BPI branch where I paid the visa fee. they said I need to call USEM to ask why the receipt number i have is invalid. and then i insisted that the bank officer check their system if the payment has been posted. she said yes. then she gave me the number i need to call (USEM). during this time, i was also messaging my F so that he could check the website if the receipt# pushes through... and alas, 5 minutes (or less) after i talked to that bank officer we were able to schedule the interview (i didn't have to call USEM at all). it seems that they didnt post my payment at all until i went there to inquire about it. tsk if i haven't insisted that she check the receipt i would have ended up going back there and very pissed. haha

Odds are talking to the bank had no effect on your receipt number showing up, in most cases it takes upwards of 24 hours before the payment is posted with USEM, sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. Patience is a requirement with this process, not a virtue.

Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. Hehe btw i went to the bank when the 24 hr wait is done. I just found it weird that after talking to them the receipt became valid when we had no luck from hour-4 to hour-24.

Anyway, this process really made me test my patience, before i would have gone to the bank on hour-5. Hahaha
