Further to Ontarkie's response - only K1 can select appt dates for themselves, IR1/Cr1 will be given appt dates by Montreal and cannot select their own.

I see you list your visa as K3, not IR1/CR1? Didn't think K3 were done any more?

We're still looking as often as every 5 minutes for 5 weeks, now, for any appointment dates on the greyed out calendar for Montreal. Is it possible to change consulates and is Ottawa any better?

Just for reference, K1 visa applicants can choose their interview date but the IR1/CR1 applicants have their date set for them. So it depends what kind of visa you are going for.

This is what I came looking for.... thank you! I want to go to the interview with him so we need to be able to pick our date if/when dates becomes available. Thanks again!

Otarkie, OK, thanks. It seems so impossible to get an interview. Yes, Udella, my son's wife and children are listed as K3. He has his permanent resident card and listed them as "follow to join". Now they are listed as "accompanying" and they must go to that greyed out calendar and try to get an appointment. The NVC sent their paperwork to the Montreal embassy. We have all the necessary paperwork and fees paid, but just can't find an opening.

Does anyone have a suggestion other than checking every 5 minutes?

That's not K3. K3 is a specific visa class for a spouse of a US citizen.

Good to know - thanks for updating. I don't know fi the answers above still apply, not sure if F3 can select a date or are given one.

Oops. I just looked it up. They are F3. Sorry.

That I do know. My son was given an interview and has his permanent resident card. Because his family was listed as "follow to join", when they changed it to "accompany" a year later, their files were activated and their Packet 4 said they were to schedule an appointment using that awful site with the greyed out calendar.

Yep. Hubs and I met playing MW3. We also played WoW, Portal 2, MW3, BF3 and 4, minecraft, and various other games together too. The best part is, neither of us get upset at the other for gaming. Hubs gave up video games for the ex wife and was not a happy man. I think only once Ive asked him to stop playing, but it was because he was leaving in the morning for a month right after I immigrated. Lol. Durr..
