The status on ceac has been updated twice after the submission of the papers. but dont exactly know if the papers are with the counselor...... Once again, i am very happy for you and you have always been very thoughtful and kind to my queries. Really appreciated!

I think the site updating is a good sign, have you thought about sending an e-mail to the Embassy or calling to find out if the document was delivered or the drop off centre to know if it has been delivered, give it a little more time. It would be issued soonest. I would contact the Embassy if it were me to know if they received the documents if I think they should have. Thank you for your kind words. Good luck ! Please do not forget to tell us when it has been issued. Cheers

Thanks everyone. My flight is this afternoon and I am flying Emirates airline. It's going to be my first time on Emirates, let's see what they'd offer. :)

Dordor, I'm glad you made it. I think it helps a lot to know there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

To everyone reading this still waiting, we've been there and done that, we can tell you how desolate and sad the wait can render you, but one thing is for sure, it all makes sense at the end. I do hope your wait wouldn't be as long has ours :)

Cheers to the good life!

The case for my wife and step daughter is already at nvc with all fees paid , ds260 filed for both and financial and supporting documents that will be received today in order for them to immigrate from Italy so basically at the last stage of nvc. I will become a U.S. Citizen soon , just waiting on the ceremony date , spoke with the nvc today who stated that once I become a U.S. Citizen my step daughter would be removed from the petition and I would have to file a separate I-130 and go through the whole process again?, is this valid ? Has anyone encountered this? At this point is it even worth upgrading my petition to a CR1 since we are not sure if we will have to wait for a visa for them once our documents are sent to the consulate in Naples? any suggestions? thanks in advance

I have some important info for all F2A waiting for visa.

ones you receive your visa, do not hurry and buy a flight ticket. Make sure that on the day you arrive at the airport in US, your marriage should be at least 2 years old so that you will get a full permanent residency (10 years green card). if you arrive when your marriage is 1yr 364 days, you will get a 2yr conditional residency, then you will have to pay about 500USD and submit a long list of documents again after 18 months to remove the conditions. there is even the possibility to going for a court hearing.

I know it is hard to wait after you get the visa. but trust me, it will save you a lot of stress.

For those who are already in this situation, I'm sorry. I should have told you sooner.
