Approved Amsterdam. Need help! Passport pictures?

Hello,

We where approved last Tuesday. I just saw that I still have both my passport pictures. They never asked for them. They did keep my passport.

Don't they need the pictures for the visa?

Maybe they use the digital uploaded picture?

I remember with my J1 visa they copied the pictured on the visa.

Okay now I'm worried

Contact the embassy/consulate.

Yeah just emailed them. I'll call them first thing this morning.

Ayla, when I completed our DS160's (K1 and K2) in draft, until I uploaded the photo there was a message that popped up saying if I hadn't uploaded one I 'd need to take one to the embassy. Good idea to contact them, but I think you might be OK. Hoping there are no further delays and wishing you all the best!

They did in the DS 160's which I submitted today and funny - the message about bringing one to the interview disappeared when the CEAC accepted the ones I uploaded. I guess I will have to wait and see what the instructions say on the interview letter, but I'm assuming they already have a digital copy, at the very least. I mean, if you take an actual photo with you, they are just going to scan it so it would be silly for them to delay you for this. How far is Amsterdam from where you are? I'd be tempted to ask if I could drop one in myself at the embassy if they insist on it.

By the way, congratulations on your approval! You were just about 6 weeks ahead of us so we followed the June thread from the start when we filed on August 2nd. It will be nice when we can all migrate over to the AOS thread over the Atlantic :D

Thank you! I just talked to a friend and she said she got both her pictures back in the mail with her passport so they never used her. So I might be good.

And thank you again. I'm so excited only 23 days I will see him again.

I hope you will hear good news soon!

Next step aos lol. At least we will be together right? ?

That's all we've ever cared about, isn't it! Being together. If we could have gone through this without being apart it would have been so much easier. It's outrageous that it's taken this long, but we're nearly there. We're just a little way behind you. See you on the other side for AOS :D
