Ok, so I've been posting a lot about NVC lately. After 33 days of nothingness from NVC, I asked my USC fiancé to call USCIS to find out what's the crack! After being on hold for well over an hour and a half for a tier two representative, he was told that the approved petition hasn't left CSC yet and, as it was only just over the thirty days mark he should stop having a winge and just be patient! :ranting: . Even though our timeline for approval fits with virtually all the other timelines on here, the lady had the audacity to say, because he's military his petition was expedited so he shouldn't stop having a winge that it's taking long to send and be patient. OK! So 1) Nowhere in the petition did we add ANY official evidence of him being the military (just him mentioning it in the 'How we met' and the G325A). 2) we didn't add any evidence in the petition to get it expedited either! By the end of the conversation the lady put the phone down on my fiancé!!

Basically CSC are a bunch of jokes! How they'll be able to justify sending out petitions that were approved AFTER ours is beyond me!

So for anybody who's approaching the 30 days from NOA2 mark and hasn't had their petition reach NVC yet, please ring USCIS and find out where your petition is! It would be so great if nobody else has to go through this doo doo! USC fiancé(e) call USCIS and be demand to speak with somebody on tier 2. If they don't want to transfer you, just be persistent. If they still don't, just put the phone down and keep calling back till you find somebody who will! From my experience, you'll need to do this when you've got a big slot of free time as the average wait time to reach somebody on tier 2 is 80+ minutes!

I feel bad because this whole time I've been thinking it's NVC who were acting up. Little did I know!!

Now at day 35, don't think they've sent the case yet because the lady said to give it two more weeks before calling back :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: !

If anybody has had similar experiences, please post below.

I'm amazed USCIS even admitted it hadn't mailed your petition to NVC yet. For a group of us who went through this back in September-October, USCIS took a couple months before even admitting that.

If the Tier 2 woman at USCIS didn't put in a service request for you, I recommend your fiance call back and do that. That 2 week thing is BS.

Good luck!

This is what I was trying to tell him. I read all the posts that you and some others had put up back then and I just got so disheartened when I started reading 90 days and so on! That's what I told him to call back and do, but he just got off a 12 hour night shift and was really angry and tired so he didn't call back at that point. Not sure if he has done since as we haven't spoken much.

Hopefully this will all get sorted soon!

Hmm!!

Well I am no expert but I have a feeling they've sent it to the wrong department and not NVC, I have been reading some posts where people who got approved in Oct (CSC) was stuck as their cases got sent to NRC instead of NVC.

Good news is though atleast they have your case and hopefully they'll post it to NVC now. Call them on monday and everyday after that untill you receive your case number!! Don't wait two weeks.

Mmmhmm!! Ain't no way I'm waiting two weeks. Yeah I think I'll get him to ring back on Monday and keep bugging them till we get our case number.

If only they were in our positions I'm so very sure they'd start acting like professionals and get a crack on!

Update:

Spoke with my fiance and he put in the service request last week Thursday. He called them up yesterday just to check where everything is at and this is the email I received from him after the phone call.

'The lady was like "I see you just put in a service report(or whatever it's called) on the 9th and it takes at least 15 days for them to response back and if it's by mail it will take an additional 15, so give it at least 30 days" and I said well I've already waited past the 35 days and you're telling me to wait another 30 is out of the question so may I speak to someone on teir 2. And she kept saying sir there are certain procedures that we have to take. You have to give them.25 days..and I just kept asking to speak to someone on teir 2 and she just kept saying the same thing..so after the 8th time I got a lil ratchet..I'm sorry..I said are you going to respect my request to transfer me to someone on teir 2 or nah, If not this conversation is done? And she said sir there are certain procedures...and I hung up on her @ss..'

So it seems like I'm going to be stuck here (limbo betweem CSC and NVC) for a while. So much for being approved in 24 days and flying through the process lol. Oh well, no need to stress and get mad at things I can't control.

First of all. Don’t come and bring your negative, sarcastic vibes to my post, thank you very much. If you're not here to at least give some sort of advice then don't say anything. ESPECIALLY on my post! This is a site for friendly help not a place to be rude and sarcastic and mock people. Just because you haven't been approved yet, does NOT give you the right to be rude. Regardless of how many days you've had to wait compared to myself or somebody else on here, time apart from your other half is still time apart. Don't feel like you have the right to bring your negative vibes over. Just because I was sent to CSC doesn't mean I'm not allowed to express my frustration and annoyance. This part of the process shouldn't be this long! I'm here to try and help out other people at this part of the process (which you are not) and give/take any advice to progress things further as much as I can. I've not seen my fiancé in over 10 months and prob won't seem until/if my visa comes through, which could well be Sep/Oct time. So the same way you wish to speed up your part of the process is the same way I wish to speed up mine. So do not begrudge my wishing to speed things up.

You want to be upset with people, feel free. You wanna look down on people just because they were sent to CSC and are now facing issues, feel free. But do NOT come and bring your negative vibes around here. ESPECIALLY on MY post!!

We're all here to help one another and share experiences.

Take your negative self and go sit in the corner!

This is probably going to be the norm from here on out, or longer. The time CSC approvals are taking to be sent to/processed at NVC has always been slightly longer than "normal" (there is no such thing as "normal" in this process though), and growing, and probably will only continue to grow while they change up the workflow.

I know that months ago people noticed this trend and wondered if maybe they hold on to them at CSC for a few weeks so that TSC folks who are approved at the same time (but after a significantly longer wait for NOA2) don't get caught in a backlog at NVC. To sort of balance out the "overall" wait time that way. Seems to make sense (in a weird way) and is exactly the weirdo sort of logic you'd expect to see from USCIS. Plus, from anecdotal observation, it does seem that TSC filers get through NVC fairly quickly (comparatively). Or maybe it's the fact that CSC just got flooded with all the petitions for the past 3 weeks that were "supposed" to go to Texas. Who really knows? All anyone knows is that you're lucky to get out of this process in less than 10 months.

In terms of how long this leg of the process is "supposed" to take....there really isn't any "supposed to take". There's averages and that's about it. So if you're getting "supposed to take" from the VJ timetables, you're seeing the average between TSC filers and CSC filers, I assume. But almost no one hits the average. And if you're given the choice of waiting a few weeks beyond "average" at NVC stage than several extra months at NOA2 stage (as it appears is the "choice" in this situation but no one really gets to choose anyway), most people would take the extra weeks at NVC :). I know I'd trade places with you without blinking an eye, myself.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3

08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

What Catherine A said - CSC seems to be a little slow on routing cases to the NVC and has missent a number of cases in the last few months to NRC instead of NVC. Keep calling them and enquire, watch your status update for a change "sent to NVC" and then start bug NVC for the case number if you want about 2 weeks later.

Sadly, as long as you are within regular processing times - which you still seem to be - you have little recourse with USCIS, as we are experiencing all the time at TSC.

Good luck with the rest of your process.

Sounds really frustrating. The biggest issue being that no one will give you a straightforward answer it's all "ho hum put in a request." I think that is what would rustle me the most. I recall reading somewhere that CSC, for as fast as they are at approving, they are hugely disorganised when it comes to sending off to the next step (NVC).

I caught a bit of a chuckle when your fiance said he had to get ratchet.

It's all well and good saying you'd trade places with me but who knows how long I've got left lol. You could say whatever with using so many 'quotation marks'. Where I supposed to hasn't got everything to do with timetables. I literally mean it shouldn't take months to send something in the post.

Yes I know I didn't have to wait months and months to get approved, however I'm still frustrated with the way my case is being handled. And if you check my signature you can see I'm not a few weeks beyond NVC stage, I haven't even reached their yet. My petition is still in CSC, and from what I've heard from uscis there will still be another month before they even bring to look for it. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and mine is, this is ridiculous.

I think it's ridiculous the way CSC, TSC and NVC play with people lives.

So yes, I may have been approved in 24 days, right now as I'm still in CSC almost 40 days later that doesn't really mean anything at the moment. 2 days, 10 days, 40 days, regardless it's still time away from your loved one!

They are quite slow. USCIS told us it's still at CSC and they haven't sent it yet. So put in a service request to which they said wait 15 days to then maybe wait 15 more loooool.

Loooooooool!! That bit got me too. He does make me laugh!

OP - I understand your frustration YES although you haven't been waiting 100+ like a lot of TSC filers have it is still frustrating as people who got their NOA2 around same time as you have their interview scheduled! I suggest your fiance to call them in a few days time, I have noticed the more you bug them with calls the more they chase up your case rather than let it to sleep!! Good thing is atleast your case isn't lost somewhere!

Now I really don't understand some people's negativity and sarcasm that's really not needed nor funny!! last time I've checked this is a forum!!
