This is so frustrating. No offense meant to those that are getting lucky. If only we had waited to file instead of rush as soon as the proposal happened! Ugh.

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but what would happen if we just sent in a new application? My fiancé keeps saying let's try it, but I am telling him there is no way that will make things better.

I feel your frustration and wished we had waited just a week longer before submitting. It's so hard being happy for others when we don't have the same hope.

I have seriously considered this option too but don't have the funds to pay for a second application at this point. Also, how would it work? Do you withdraw your first application or leave it and see which comes up first? Is it legal or would it count against you?

Surely there is something that can be done? Or do we just sit back and resign ourselves to the long wait and hope and pray that it goes by quickly?

When filling in your timeline, please understand that all I-129F's are sent to the LOCKBOX in Texas, and then ROUTED (not transferred) to your ASSIGNED service center- the one in Texas "TSC" (not the same as the lockbox!), or the one in California "CSC". If your tracking number starts with WAC, you're at the CSC, you were not transferred! There are no transfers at this time. If your number starts with SRC you're at the TSC and that's where you will serve your entire sentence.USCIS isn't fair.

They don't care about you.

What stef-curls said!

Can I implore everyone who has been assigned a WAC number to put California Service Center in their timeline please? you have NOT been transferred from TSC, you never were at TSC. If you put in a transfer it screws up the prediction for all of us who are actually stuck in the Texas Service Center hell.

Thank you!

103 days and no end in sight...

Btw guys, do not assume canceling an I-129F is a quick process. It can take months. And refiling for the same beneficiary within a short time will put you under A LOT of scrutiny. Not recommended.

What else can you do? Contact your representatives and raise the issue and have them enquire.

We submitted on 16 March 2015 and got a stupid SRC receipt number. This is so not what i wanted to hear... Was hoping they might still transfer our case. This is heartbreaking :(

Ooops!!! My fiance is going to send our papers probably next week. I am praying that we'll not belong to SRC or TSC (or whatever it is called). And yes, I have read about TSC is a bit slow.

A bit slow?! TSC averages are more than 8 times CSC averages these days, that is a bit more than "a bit slow". We shall see how the routing affects averages over the next few months.

Nevertheless, given that you are a Filipino case you stand a strong chance to be processed quick no matter what as these cases are expedited. Good luck on your journey!

So to clarify...

All cases are submitted to TCS where they are then sorted. They either remain at TSC and get an SRC receipt number OR get ROUTED (not transfered) to CSC and are given a WAC receipt number. Correct?

So then how does transferring cases work? Does anyone know the criteria/reasons for being transferred? Do they give you a new case number? What i'm asking is, is there still hope for those of us TSC?

Also, off topic... How do you add all the timeline info and cutsey stuff at the bottom of your post?

Incorrect.

All I-129F petitions go to the Dallas lockbox. this has nothing whatsoever to do with the Texas Service Center. The lockbox routes the petition to the appropriate service center who them assign a case number - SRC means you we assigned to TSC, WAC means you are assigned to CSC. If you get a WAC number straight away, you have never been at TSC and should NOT put this into your timeline. You were routed/assigned to CSC straight away. NO TRANSFER involved.

There are no current transfers ongoing for I-129F cases. The last transfer happened in August 2014. A transfer means you get a notice that your case was actually transferred, say from TSC to CSC. In that case, your case number would stay the same (SRC). Case numbers for existing petitions never change at the USCIS stage. IF YOU HAVE NOT GOTTEN AN ACTUAL TRANSFER NOTICE IN THE MAIL YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TRANSFERRED!

Timeline

A bit slow?! TSC averages are more than 8 times CSC averages these days, that is a bit more than "a bit slow". We shall see how the routing affects averages over the next few months.

Nevertheless, given that you are a Filipino case you stand a strong chance to be processed quick no matter what as these cases are expedited. Good luck on your journey!

Let us see what will happen to our case week/s or month/s once my fiance will send our documents. And, Danke schon TabeaK.

Various people have enquired with their congressional liaisons, it appears that only new petitions will be re routed for now, old ones stay where they are. We will have to wait and see.

Since we have filed I have seen average approval times rocket from 190d to 220d with no evidence for any speeding up. My current expectation is this will keep creeping up to 250d+ by the time they get round to December. A large chunk of September filers are already beyond 210d with no end in sight.

It would be great if I am wrong, but I can see no discernible evidence that TSC is getting their act together on I-129Fs right now.

We will see where we stand when they publish the next processing time update hopefully next week. If they advance it any less than a whole month they have lost further ground.
