K1 Electronic Tracking?

I have been reading many post, and do correct me if I am wrong, but many dealing with the k1 visa are getting electronic notifications of the status of their visa, and they are receiving them way before they get the notification in the mail. How would I go about doing so for my visa? I sent the form G-1145 for notification when USCIS received my I-129 petition if that helps.

That form is just to get the notification that your application has been recieved.

You can use this

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

to check the progress of your application.

You should still get email/text when your application has been updated and check the website to see what's happened.

What Cody provided is what you'll need when the Immigration dept (USCIS) approves it and it gets handed over to the State Department, then you can use that link to check status.

To track USCIS (where you submitted the forms initially) you can check status via:

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus

Once you get the NVC Case # either via mail or by calling them, then you can check status via the link Cody provided.

I am not aware of an email notification for the NVC status change. USCIS phase has that though.

The ceac does not do a sign up or email notifications, you can log in there daily if you want and just enter the numbers . Call NVC to get your case number about 14 days after the letter USCIS sends you saying they sent the file to NVC. You chose on CEAC immigrant visa and enter the case number they give you. It will say in transit until the receiving embassy gets the file. It will then say ready. You can continue to log in there throughout the K-1 Process as it goes through the foreign embassy's hands.

so, since i am so excited that NVC may give our case number today, i didn't wait for my fiance and made the call myself. was put on hold for about 75mins. the representative who answered my call was so nice... she said that they still don't have our case yet but she didn't give me the 35 days spiel. she just said to give it a few more days. lol. i will call again tom. :)

Same here thespoons!! I called the day before yesterday and nothing but i called yesterday and drum roll please!!! :dancing: She said that my case was there except it wasn't in the system yet to wait about four weeks from the approval date. Next week would be the fourth week! :clock: The young lady was much more informative than the others I've spoken to. I'm guessing because I've always called in the mornings and yesterday I called around 6 pm! hope to get an update from you thespoons! :rolleyes:

Jorge&Sindy - would you mind please posting when you receive the NVC welcome letter? I am trying to keep an eye out for when I should get mine transferred and am hoping that mine makes it in a recent batch or how ever they do it. Maybe our cases were shipped in the same batch???
