Good morning!

I think I am just stressing out now that the interview is so close, but for the K1 Interview you only need the I-134 and supporting documents right? You are not required to have I-864 filled out for the interview? You do that when you AOS?? I only have have I-134 and his bank statements, employment letters and tax returns. :S

Freaking out a bit, but everywhere I've read it says K1 only needs I-134 but just noticed Packet 4 in my email says:

  • Affidavit of support (I-134) (for fiancé, employment and DV visas)
  • Evidence of support (I-864, Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year)

Thanks!

Good luck for you interview :). I am going through CR1 process right now and my Packet 4 has letters saying if I need to bring it or they already got it. For example:

A = Obtain the original or a certified copy of this document and present it at your interview

D = The NVC sent this form or document to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate

F = The NVC did not request this form or document.

If you F in front of I 864 then you do not need that one. I hope, it helps you :P

Thanks harisinam! Sadly no letters on my Packet 4. That would have been helpful.

Hi, If you look under Forms Download, under K1 section there is no I864 so that is not needed for your interview. There are too many forms and I was confused as well. Looking back at what I did , I don't believe I had the I864 with me for the interview. Basically I took everything (which included his employment letter that lists his salary; his last tax return ) that were previously submitted with me to the interview along with the few extra for packet 4.

Good luck at your interview. It was a snap .. spent more time stressing and waiting than actually being interviewed.

Thanks tdotca! I think I am just over thinking everything. I have read all of this so many times lol!

One more question - I have the letter from his employer and they also gave us copies of W-2 forms. Is that what they want for his last tax return? The only other thing I have for his taxes are the forms he got from H & R Block for the last 3 years. I am bring those with me too, but not sure exactly what they need. He didn't seem to file anything he received back after his taxes were filed with H&R Block. The H&R documents are pretty detailed and have original signatures. We also have all his bank statements. He makes enough money as per the guidelines.

Thanks so much! Getting excited!
