I tried to find what this status means. We have sent in all the paperwork they required and have received confirmation that the papers were received by the Embassy. We have completed everything and are awaiting the Visa and her passport to be returned, when I went online to check status, it says this, but I do not understand what it means. I starred out the case number for privacy reasons.
U.S. Department of State

NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION

Ready
Application ID or Case Number: MNL************ 01 MNL Case Creation Date: 06-Apr-2015 Status Updated Date: 06-Apr-2015
Your case is open. Please check your status after two business days via the CEAC launch page athttps://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/.

For more information, please visit U.S. Embassy Manila.

It could mean that she is in Administrative Processing (AP). Basically they are doing a few more checks before they mail the visa. My wife was in AP for 2 weeks before she got the visa in the mail.

Completely off topic now, Wolsen1: Sunglasses are Mine and Odie's schtick. LOL

I'm trying to get the i94 online but it just keeps saying not found

It takes a few days before it is in the system. Keep trying. Soon as you get that go on over to SSA office and get her a SSN. You are able to apply for SSN before marriage. You need SS-5 completed form, passport with K-1 visa, Birth certificate, I-94. Don't let them tell you that you can not get a SSN before marriage because that is Donkey Junk. Ask to speak to a supervisor.

Print out your I-94 info > https://i94.cbp.dhs....94/request.html

Follow this guide for getting the SSN > http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn

Follow this guide for AOS > http://www.visajourn...content/k1k3aos

The fees are listed here > http://www.uscis.gov/i-485

The fees for the I-765 (EAD-work authorization) and I-131 (AP-advance parole for travel) are waived when filed with a pending I-485, so include both of those too. It takes about 60-90 days to receive the EAD/AP combo card, which will allow you to work (along with an SSN) and re-enter the US when traveling abroad while waiting for the green card approval.

You need all the supporting documents for each form as well, so read the instructions for each one. You can also search here on VJ for what to include with each form if you get stumped. There are also example forms here on VJ you can look at when filling out the forms. They can be helpful.

Oh, and here are the details you need about whether or not you need to see a civil surgeon > http://www.visajourn...port/?p=6206232
