So I accidentally started filling out the non immigrant one now that I have input my email it will not let me use it correctly. Called the embassy in Toronto twice and they were useless and could do nothing about it. Any thoughts?

You can either sign up on the immigrant one with a new email address. Or there is technical support number you can call somewhere on the site. I did the same thing and the lady I called cancelled the non-immigrant one I created and started an immigrant one since I did not want to change my email address.

Calling the consulate in Toronto is pointless as you would interview in Montréal.

Call the helpline for the website or use a different email as suggested.
