I don't go by Visa calculator but logically if u see ur PD would be current in either August or max September.....And case complete is done when all ur docs are complete with NVC....Now ur Interview is also dependent upon ur Embassy's Backload ....how many applicants they will interview in a particular month depending on all categories....

U can do this after may be 3 weeks from now and i think u should get a response from NVC within 2 weeks after that...I would rather prefer to do that after 2 weeks from now...i.e by April 15/2015 we can email to get the case number

But still i will call them early in morning at 7:00 which is good time to call....after 2 weeks are over

I already have all my docs ready and just waiting for NVC to start the process....U too collect all the docs...Better to be prepared early rather than doing stuff at last time...

Thank you Dew_Drops for the detailed info and I greatly appriciate it. Our case is handled by a lawyer therefore, I have sent her all the documents from my end and my husband did the same from his side. I have also done the police certificate last year october which expires the coming october. I hope I do not have to do it again and we get our Interview appointment before October 2015.

Good luck to you and the rest of us in this forum for the NVC stage and I hope it will go smooth not like Uscis who gave us a grief to get an approval. May God guide us thorugh all the way. I hope to see more family members joining this room so that we stick by each other until the end.

hello Mahdieh - congratulations on your approval!

you can only file I-485 to adjust in the US if your PD is current. I think your PD is Oct 2013? if you are still here and your visa is still valid when your PD comes up, then you can adjust....My husband is also here on a tourist visa but he will have to go back soon. He has been with me for almost 6 months now! we were so wishing that he would have been able to adjust in the US.

anyway I was reading your comments and I don't know if things work differently as you have an attorney handling your case, but you can call NVC directly and get your IIN. You will get it sooner than waiting for them to give it to you.....that will help you speed up your case. Again, I don't know if things are different when you have an attorney.....

anyway I was reading your comments and I don't know if things work differently as you have an attorney handling your case, but you can call NVC directly and get your IIN. You will get it sooner than waiting for them to give it to you.....that will help you speed up your case. Again, I don't know if things are different when you have an attorney.....

To be honest with you, I do not think things are different with a lawyer as our one is really usless. If you look at page 1, I have posted a question and answer comment from what I have asked her yeasterday and her response is always short and not clear therefore, the best thing to do is follow the VJ forum and get things speed up. I think one postive aspect of having a lawyer is that you do not have to worry about the checklist of documents because they ask you to provide what you need and they will do the rest but I think that is just something you can do by yourself using the VJ wiki information. I hope you get your approval at least by Friday and join the rest of us here for the next step. Best of luck with your approval.

Copies of last 4 month pay stub

Employment letter of me

Bar-coded cover sheet.

And for IV package.

Bar-coded cover sheet of payment

2 passport style photographs

Copy of my wife passport

Copy of marriage certificate and translate

My wife Birth certificate and translate

My wife Original police certificate and translate

My wife court certificate and translate

Please if I am missing anything help me and let me know so I can get the rest of doc. Before submitting to nvc

SusDan - here is my list that I've been working with:

1. NVC welcome letter

Bar coded cover sheet

Tax transcript 2011,2012,2013

Tax return 2014

W2 2014

letter of employment

copy of marriage license

copy of permanent card (greencard)

　

2. IV documents:

Bar coded cover sheet

copy of birth certificate (beneficiary)

copy of marriage license

copy of police clearance

copy of biographic passport page

Photographs 2 pcs

some other VJer have also added some additional evidence of their marriage being a bona fide one. This is called side-loading....so if you are from a high-risk country you may wish to do that. You can also re-send the original evidence docs that you sent to USCIS (which is what we are going to do).
