Hi dellyranks21,

Thank you for joining me in this room and just to let you know I am a female :) .To transfer file from VSC to NVC will approximately take 60 working days therefore, that might be the reason why you have not heard anything. I suggest as you had your approval at the begining of March, my advice will be to call NVC and ask them if they have received your document. Read through the link I provided so that you understand the process more.

Count me in too Habel,....it's correct that it taken more days for files to reach NVC but I will start calling after 2 weeks..

At least giving a shot would not harm ... By this weekend we should receive our NOA2 or max next week Monday

And from CSC to NVC I think 3-4 weeks .... If luck favor us they might create case number and provide us Invoice Identification Number...to start the paper work... But this will take time

I even tried to call NVC just to check the options but even that isn't working.... They say all customer service agents r busy n call later...

This is email I got from our lawyer just now.

Hi HAbel,

Well, it was certainly a good thing that USCIS transferred the case to another service center! It has finally been adjudicated. Approved! Your category on the visa bulletin is at 8/1/13, and your case was receipted 11/22/13, so we do still have a little bit longer to wait. Besides, it usually takes about 45 days for the case to be transferred to the National Visa Center and to receive the fee bills. I will let you know as soon as there is any more movement!

Welcome Dew_Drops and thank you for your update. To be honest I do not have a clue in reagrds to NVC therefore, I will follow you guys as a guidance in order to get through this. When do you think the NVC journey will end for us? and when do you think we are more likely to get an interview as VB will advance to 1st September 2013 for May?

I devised a very rough estimate based on my priority date which is quite in line with what Dew Drops is saying:

My PD: 01/17/14

Current PD (May): 09/01/13

At worst case, if the VB moves at least 4 weeks every month, I am roughly 5 months away from the PD being current which would mean that the October VB is where my PD becomes current (lets say it cuts off at 02/01/2014)

5 months for my PD to get current. Based on that my estimation since my PD is later with the NVC:

NOA2 - 03/30/15

NVC receives case - 04/21/15

NVC assigns IIN - 05/08/15

NVC asks to submit choice of agent and pay AOS - 05/15/15

NVC asks to pay IV fee - 06/15/15

NVC asks to submit DS-260 digital (once IV is PAID) - 06/30/15

Send AOS and IV package to NVC - 07/01/15

Case complete (60 days review) - 09/01/15

IL - 09/01-09/10 ???

My rough estimate puts me exactly at 5 months from now lol based on my PD

As far as I know it should take about 30 days for our case to get logged in NVC system... And remember we r very close to be current so NVC will catch our files first as compared to December n later files....

According to my calculations even if it moves 1 month every month then we November filers would be current in August 2015...... That's just a guess

Now for NVC part by this month end they should get our files.... Then about 2 weeks to enter case and create case number according to chargeable country.... Then u receive welcome email by May 2 or 3 week... So by mid of May we would start the paperwork....... Then by end of May they will advance the cut off dates by another one month so we will be more close..... Hence as they receive our DS261 and AOS fees they will unlock the IV fees and once all fees r paid we will mail our AOS & IV package in one envelope... This would take around June end or July start .... Once they receive our package they review and that takes 30-40 days so count August end or September Mid ur case complete ...then if all goes well by August end or September end u receive ur Interview letter for interview in October or November.... So all this will end by October or November as per my guessing.... Never knows what actually will it take but if our paperwork is complete with no checklists then October or November would be the month for interview....

Remember if ur interview is in October or November NVC will notify u approx 30-40 days in advance so u should receive ur interview letter in August or September.....

Hope u understand all the steps... But still this is just an approximation

Do ask if u have any doubts....

Many thanks for the detailed info Dew_Drops and Munfn. Here is some questions I asked to our lawyer and her response which I think will benefit others:

Finally, here comes the approval however, I have a few questions in regards to NVC.

1) As we will not get any correspondence from NVC when they receive our case from USCIS. Don't you not think we need to call them frequently to chase this up? We will get correspondence. It just takes about 45 days.

2) After receiving our doucment, how long does the NVC take to assign a case number? The correspondence will have the case number.

3) When will you be needing all the documents from us? We can start to gather everything in the beginning of May.

4) As the visa bulletin is more likely to progress to September 1 2013 in May, how long do you think we will have until I get an interview date? Once the NVC is satisfied with the documents, it will send it over to the Embassy in London. The Embassy schedules the appointments and it depends on their backlog waitlist. It is usually between one and two months after NVC forwards the case.

5) Are all forms filled in online for NVC process? Some are, some aren’t.

6) Just to clarify will they start to count the six month time frame to enter USA from the date of my medical or from the date the visa issued? Six months from the issuance of the visa.

I don't go by Visa calculator but logically if u see ur PD would be current in either August or max September.....And case complete is done when all ur docs are complete with NVC....Now ur Interview is also dependent upon ur Embassy's Backload ....how many applicants they will interview in a particular month depending on all categories....

Now u can also go thru the below NVC link to contact then directly:

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/contact/ask-nvc.html

U can do this after may be 3 weeks from now and i think u should get a response from NVC within 2 weeks after that...I would rather prefer to do that after 2 weeks from now...i.e by April 15/2015 we can email to get the case number

But still i will call them early in morning at 7:00 which is good time to call....after 2 weeks are over

I already have all my docs ready and just waiting for NVC to start the process....U too collect all the docs...Better to be prepared early rather than doing stuff at last time...

If u have any querries do ask .....Good Luck

NVC is more efficient then ever before. I have been petitioning relatives since 2003(my own priority date was June 6th 1988) and lot has changed for good. If priority date come closer, they start working on cases sooner. I am expecting about another 4 months process for december filers to be completed with everything. NVC, USCIS and Local embassy has perfect coordination as to how many visa need to be issued per quota for all catagories. Lot of time back logs of pending cases, or change is immigration policies effect priority dates. For IR1, it takes 5 months processing time to complete case after getting aprroval.

11/27/2013 - Priority Date
