IV Fee......It's been more than 30 days!?!

We had the same problem many of you did where our 261 was not getting processed. I called 6:59 am EST and got right through to a wonderful lady with an older voice who said that many of the 261 were getting "stuck" in the system. She knew how to fix it because she has been at the NVC for a long time, but the newer agents did not know how to do this. My advice is to keep calling until you get someone that knows how to review your 261.

It is so frustrating to see people get their 261's reviewed inless than two weeks and you have to patiently wait. My advice is call every chance you get and hope for that lady with the older voice. She can get your 261 "un-stuck".

Good luck.

was able to call and get my agent form reviewed yesterday... 11 days after completing it.. keep calling guys, do it until you get everything done :)

so unless i sent in the AOS form i wont get the IV bill for $325

you get IV bill after they review your ds261. thats why we need to call because if we just sit and wait for NVC to take steps, we will be highly let down I think.

Totally agree.... If you sit and wait for things to get done, it will take for ever. I waited and waited, called a couple of times and had some rude people answer and give the typical "up to 42 days" answer. I kept calling until some nice girl reviewed the form for me... too late, but did it.

Well, all the luck for you guys waiting and keep calling =).

Good for you! I filled out mine a month ago, only now I'm beginning to call, Agents keep saying they can't see my submission. Finally, someone today said they will put in a note for it to be reviewed. Hope someone will pick it up.

Finally, they reviewed it and said IV will be invoiced within a week's time, what a relief. Just hope my case doesn't get reviewed before it's paid.

So it looks like you have to call NVC daily to get your ds-260 review and ultimately IV fee invoiced?

Yep, I made the mistake of putting it off for month since I completed the DS-260 form thinking it will take of itself. But nope you have to call in to review it by the agent, then only you can rest in peace. Otherwise it's a guessing game.

Oh god, my worst fear has come true, called NVC and asked if my case has been reviewed, they said yes and that I have to pay IV fee. Damn it, this pisses off so much, Now it gets delayed by another month or more.

Im sorry i dont understand. You have to pay the fee... that doesn't normally take a month to do. Did you check to see if it's available to pay?

I never got IV fee invoiced. I thought it takes a month to get invoiced and I just let sit there, And one month later I still didn't get invoiced, I started calling in and finally today NVC reviewed the Agent of Choice over the phone and said IV fee will be invoiced in a week. Now because cases are being reviewed faster, mine got reviewed within a month and my IV fee wasn't paid, thus the checklist.

I just called the NVC this morning and was able to get through. I spewed out an entire explanation in the hopes that someone would just process the DS-261 over the phone. The lady literally did it in 2 seconds. Just as I thought she would tell me to wait for it to get reviewed by the department, she says "it's been reviewed, you'll receive your IV fees in a week". WOW. If I had known this a month ago, I could have saved so much time.

The message for everyone waiting for their DS-261: JUST CALL! And request for them to review it. They can do it by phone. And it will save SO much time.
