I m excited we in May interview thread..

My interview day is May 20th..cant wait to see my hubby..

Quick question guys...i m filling my taxes for 2014..for the past 3 yrs i filed my taxes as single n putting my parents as dependents...however i m going to file 2014 taxes filling married jointly ...can i still put my parents as dependent? ?is it gonna count my household members as 4 or 2?? Do i have to show more income?? Bcoz i dont have any joint sponsors. I did 864 ez...plz help

Your household size is 4 anyone you are claiming is counted in your household size. So that's $30,312 you will have to make to be at poverty guidelines.

Can I ask why do you file single if you claim your parents as dependents. You would be better served filing Head of Household since you have qualifying dependents and probably get more money back.More money back thank Married filing jointly which you can do that unless you have husbands SS# or he has a ITIN. But you can file Married filing separate. But single is a no no.

Hi all, so super excited to be in the "waiting for interview" stage!! I'm on the spreadsheet but this is my 1st post here. Cc on 3/28. Got an email on 3/30 with checklist because my affidavit of support is old (too long at Nvc!) but was instructed to bring it to interview I expected that so no surprise there. Just waiting for interview date now!!! Yay!!!

Yeah I really don't know much about that. You mean done with May interviews? What would happen then? It would go to June I assume...but does it mean it would be later in June? I'm just not sure how the interview scheduling part works, we are Guatemala.

Hey guys got cc completed on march 19th and email on the 26th..impatiently waiting for the interview..is it possible to wait several months only for a date?..embassy in ankara seems to be slow apparently..any ideas or experiences?

Turkey is pretty fast I don;t think they have started scheduling for May. Just hang on see what the next two days hold.

My bad! We called and we're told we had a case complete on March 18th, but didn't get the email until March 24th.

It doesn't get easier until you are on the other side of US Immigration and in your loved one's arms. THEN you start living!

If they are done with your embassies May scheduling you would have to wait until June scheduling which wouldn't be until 1st week in May. There's no way to know if its early June or late since we don;t know who's in the queue with you their case complete or their filing date.

I m going to file MFJ bcoz my husband has SSN. But this time I m not gonna put my parents as dependent becoz Im worried it may affect my AOS ..Bcoz currently my annual income is $30250 becoz i m making less hrs..So worried..Dont want to take risk ..

Calling the embassy won't do anything for you. Your case isn't there they don't know who you are. You are scheduled by NVC.

Huh your husband has US SS# wow okay. But you claimed your parents last year they are still considered in this years household. Just like a child moving away. just be sure to only submit current tax forms. if they see last years u will be dinged.

ok..But I sent 2011, 2012, 2013 to NVC they approved my case..Just starting this month I m working less hrs..So If i get employment verification letter its gonna say my annual income which is less than what I was making last month So dont know what to do..Thts y I dont what to put my parents as dependents in tht way my household income will be 2 and I hope this will work
