My rant of the day... Hurry up and give us our interview! Ah Lord give me some more strength today! Does anyone else feel like sometimes they wish they could sleep til this nightmare is over? I told my husband that yesterday! "Cant you please just leave me sleep the next couple months?". Of course his reply was "and leave me all alone without you for that long? How do you want me to then live?" Booo how could I possibly not agree with him and just grab more strength and go on.

I too would like to sleep the next couple of months. It's been more than 6 weeks since our case complete and we have yet to get an interview date. There were several people waiting for interviews from Cairo that got their P4 letters a week ago, so I suspect they have completed scheduling May interviews already, which means we are looking at another 4 weeks of waiting for an interview date. Honestly, Now that my grandfather is in the hospital and I no longer have to worry about his daily care, and my husband will be leaving for active duty with the Egyptian army, I have nothing I need to stay awake for.

My husband's interview was scheduled for today (April 2) at the Paris Embassy. And we had his medical scheduled for yesterday (April 1) so we went to Paris on March 31 so we'd be there the next morning for the medical. Well as we were leaving to head to the medical, my husband got a call from the Embassy and they called (barely 24 hours before the interview!) to say they had to bump us 2 weeks! And didn't even give us a reason why!

We completed the medical stuff on April 1, and went ahead and went to the Embassy today (April 2) just to see if there was any possibility they could still fit us in, I mean we came all the way to Paris just for this stuff. They told us "absolutely not" if our name wasn't on the list they wouldn't let us in, and still didn't say why.

Has anybody else heard of an Embassy doing this?! 24 hours before the interview?!?!?!?!?!? We are so upset!

Back when I was waiting for my DS-261, everyone we talked to, including supervisors (when we were allowed to speak to them) refused to review it. We waited almost 70 days!

That being said, people are getting them unlocked over the phone, so I think perseverance is the key. We called maybe twice a week. Maybe we should have upped it to every day. They keep a log of when you call - if they see you calling every day, they may feel more like unlocking the invoice just to get you to stop calling :P

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.
