N-400 April 2015 Filers

Hello!

This is my first time posting anything, anywhere.

I submitted my N-400 for Naturalization to Lewisville TX. They got it Yesterday, April 2, 2015 at around 10AM. I guess I'm included in the April filers. I would like to be able to help others and also get help from this point on. I didn't know this kind of website exists. i think it'll help a lot.

So, does anybody know if everything goes well, when will we have our decision and oath taking?

Basically my question is about the processing time of Texas for Naturalization.

Thanks!!

Blue_angel_29

quick question though,

I never did a change of address form AR11, I think.

I didn't know i was supposed to until right this moment, will this be against me.?

DHS says if it was not willful, it could be forgiven. I won't need to go to jail or pay pay a fine.

So, my question is, do I need to do anything about this?

It's very hard to tell how long your application will take because the time depends on the number of applicants and many other factors. Houston is a slow office but bit the slowest. If you get become a citizen any time between October and January, that will be reasonable for Houston. If you finish before October that will be unusually fast. If you finish after January that will be slower than usual.

Just speaking for myself but if I more without filing an AR11, I would file one now to correct my mistake.

I just called the 1800 number in USCIS website and the lady said I don' have to worry about it since I filled the N400 and I put my correct address in the N400 form.

But I really want to file an AR11. Where do i send it? I jus want to be on the safe side. I'd rather have everything going for me.

just out of curiosity.. if your application gets rejected for some reason, will they send you an email/text?

I'm not sure, but I don't think so... every time I've read about a rejected application, the applicant said they just got their packet back in the mail along with a rejection letter.

Does anyone know if it matters whether the driver's license address and the address used to file needs to be the same (since the IO will request the DL in the interview; not sure if it's only for ID purposes, proof and length of time living in the district or both)?

Same city, just different street and house number.

I would say make sure the dmv has your right address. You may get an officer who will question that.
