K1 visa interview tomorrow just realized passport expires in May 2015..what to do?

what a day!!..my fiance's passport expires in may 2015. His k1 interview is tomorrow at London embassy. Anyone knows what will happen? Should have checked the expiration date..we can only blame ourselves at this point.

All i know it is thag pasdport need to be good for 6 months before expire.

So maybe they will put him in administrative processing until he submits a new passport.

All the time i have here i have red passport need to be good a least 6 months.

No valid passport = no visa. Please update this for everyone else once you find out what happens. I think at worst they are going to suspend approval until you get a passport, or they will have you reschedule. That is insane that you would forget something so simple.

That sucks...but I think it'll just cause a small hiccup and delay in time.

He should look to renew his passport ASAP, even without the interview/visa issue,

so that he has a valid passport while going through more processing in US.

In the UK, you can get emergency passports very quickly. Expensive, but not an issue. Have him/her go to the interview, let them know of the issue straight away. Upon approval, he'll likely go into AP - have him get an emergency passport appointment and drop of the new passport as soon as he gets it - shouldn't delay you more than a few days.
