related question on passport pickup:

background: K-1

fiancee city: Hyderabad

Interview at Consulate: Mumbai

I'm on the "cgifederal" "Apply for Visa" website where you make payment and determine passport pickup option. My question is what should I choose for passport pickup after the interview:

a) Mumbai pickup location (city where the interview will be)

b) Hyderabad pickup location (city where I live)

Concern: After interview, if it's next day, I can select Mumbai, stay one extra day in Mumbai, get passport and go home to Hyderabad. If I choose Hyderabad pickup, I can leave Mumbai as soon as interview is over, then pickup passport in Hyderabad.

a) I dont know how long it will take to be ready if it's in Mumbai, and how long it will take to be ready if I choose HYD?

b) is there a risk of them losing it for transit the passport from Mumbai to Hyderabad?

Perhaps I'm being too paranoid

Definitely you're not being too paranoid bcoz I think the same way.

But I have decided not to select pickup location at mumbai as we might have to extend our stay for 3-4 days.

So it is beat to select hyderabad location for you and go back abd wait. It isn't risky bcoz all immigrant and no immigrants visa are delivered by this way.

Hope this helps.
