Still Administrative Processing All this time ! Any idea why ?

I am currently facing is with the U.S. Embassy Cairo. I am trying to help my wife get her Visa to come to the United States. My wife is currently living in Egypt. I applied for her Green Card Visa and had an interview on January 22, 2015. As her interview was completed, she was handed a paper stating that her Immigration Visa had been approved by the Consular Officer and it should be processed within two weeks of the approved date, January 22, 2015.

After not hearing anything from the U.S. Embassy Cairo for nearly a month, my wife received a phone call on February 23, 2015 saying she needed me to send an e-mail stating that I have never married after divorcing my x wife on 12/9/2004. Since the divorce, I have only married and dedicated my life with My Wife. I sent an e-mail to the U.S. Embassy Cairo on Feb 24.

On Feb 26, I received an e-mail reply to me stating (Thank you for your e-mail message.

Please note that your case is currently undergoing mandatory administrative processing. The time needed to review an individual’s case is difficult to predict. Once this process is completed, we will process your case to conclusion. While we understand the personal inconvenience that thpresent process can cause, we are certain that you will agree that we must exercise due diligence in ensuring that U.S. national security is enhanced, not compromised, by our visa processing ).

Not all, but many or most in some predominantly Muslim countries.

Administrative processing can be a nightmare or it might not take long. I have read on here that if it takes longer than 2 months to contact your congressman.

i did contact him and his office recived same answer from cairo
