adjusted gross income on IRS Form 1040EZ

I only have 1040 what is EZ ?

Should i put income from line 37 or 22 on 1040 tax form ?

1040EZ is used for single and joint filers with no dependents.

I filed as single but had 1040. not 1040 ez (( just confused.

The 1040EZ is the short form version. If you filed a 1040 your adjusted gross income will be on line 37 of your 1040 form

I believe it is the other way around, the 1040EZ is line 37 and 1040 is line 22.

So i was right mine is 1040 so line 22, guys tell me clearly. I do not want any confusion that is why here.

Line 37 is the ADJUSTED gross income for a form 1040. Line 22 is TOTAL income on a 1040. I don't know what you are using the info for. You asked and I'm telling you what the lines are on a 1040.

from i-864 My total income (adjusted gross income on IRS Form 1040EZ) as reported on my....

if it is form 1040EZ it is adjusted gross income, that is why it is in brackets

so as i filed 1040 it should be 22 i guess, which is total income.

I am using this for filling my 1864 form, sorry for the confusion.

Correct! Sorry for confusing you but without knowing what you were using the info for I was just explaining the lines on a 1040 form

how do i give this email address ?, when i called nvc they said they do not do it .

I filled already ds-261 i put my email address but no where it asked for my wife email.

That I can't answer because we are not that far along in the process. We are still waiting for NVC to receive our case and assign a case #. You'll have to wait for someone with personal experience on the matter for your answer.

The form DS-261 is for the beneficiary to complete (though the petitioner can also do so on behalf of the beneficiary).

In completing the form the beneficiary fill out their info including email address and mainly choose the petitioner as the agent, this allows you to fill out info about the petitioner including their email address.

Once NVC reviews the DS-261 they get both beneficiary and petitioner's email address in their system thereby related correspondence is sent to both emails.
