I-130 Approved...what's next?

Hey VJ peeps!

My husband's I-130 petition finally got approved yesterday :dancing: ...we're so excited!!! What's usually the next step? How soon do I start calling NVC? I'm trying to go through these discussions and also the wiki page....it's all so overwhelming and a bit confusing but I'm ready to get things started. I also filed an I-129F for the K3 spousal visa which was approved yesterday as well. But from what I've been reading on here that may be null and void since the CR1 will take precedence at NVC. Thanks in advance for any assistance or advice you can share and good luck to everyone on their journey!

To the best of my knowledge, because the I-130 was approved first you should be on the CR1/IR1 track (someone please feel free to correct this if I'm wrong). Take the time to brush up on the NVC stage using this very informative guide by VJ member Saylin. It should answer all of your questions.

Yeah the I-129F will automatically die down.

Brush up on the NVC process. Then start calling NVC after 2-3 weeks to get your case #. Takes a fair bit of patience.

Now, take a few days to enjoy the I130 approval.
