2 Months on 'Ready to be schedule for an interview' AOS

Hi community

So, although I've already received my EAD that happened a couple of weeks ago, it is still exasperating to realize that my I-485 application has been in the 'Ready to be schedule for an interview' status for over 2 months now. Per browsing around the website and go through the timelines of several of our members I realize that I'm entering the 'deadline zone' if you will.

My processing centre as far as I know although I mailed my AOS package to Chicago, is Oklahoma City, naturally when you go to the USCIS website you can tell they are experiencing a significant delay for they do not have an estimated processing time just the date the last successfully processed application was filed which by the way is April 24 2014, that means that application took 334 days to be processed which would be terribly sucky time wise but like some people have stated here you should really take those numbers with a grain of salt.

Now, the question is, should I call the USCIS customer service to submit an enquire about my case like I did with my EAD when it reached the 75 + days threshold or just wait patiently another month or so, what do you guys think?

I have been in "ready to be scheduled for an interview" since mid-November, 4.5 months. I submitted an inquiry in January and, other than my online case status noting that I had submitted the inquiry, nothing else has happened. I think it's just more waiting for the Denver office to schedule us....

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

And, just like that, an interview notice! I posted to this thread yesterday how I was at 4.5 months waiting. Interview scheduled for 29 April in Denver. Crazy.

Congrats my friend hoping for a similar outcome for my case as well! :clock: When it comes to the scheduling of an interview that is, not the lengthy waiting time they put you through, one can hope right? It seems so random though, some have been waiting for a year others only for 3 months or 2, God knows what's their criteria to prioritize one case over the other, although it appears that like you said is heavily linked to the local office that is handling your case, mine is OK city which does not seem to be among the super slow ones, but who knows? :luv:

Now, what appears to be a trend notwithstanding is that AOS applications stemming from K-1 visa processes seem to be more prone to the dreaded 'interview waiver' and the subsequent 6 months + waiting...

You were lucky.

I have similar case I have status "CASE IS READY TO BE SCHEDULED FOR AN INTERVIEW" since January 15, 2015 and I still waiting. So it looks like that I should keep waiting.....

Yep mine is Jan 20 so we're pretty much on the same boat I predict April for the scheduling of the interview and May for thereof to take place. :clock: Hopefully.

I have got my status update today. My interview is scheduled on May 2 so now I'm waiting for my notice and I believe I will start preparing to it.

Congrats mate! Now let me ask you, when did you file?

I'm so confused about this. We applied for AOS a few months ago - got an RFE for financial info and sent it back a few weeks ago. Now USCIS website has changed to say:

Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview
As of July 9, 2015, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC-xyzzzzzzzzzz, for an interview.

I'm not sure what I was expecting to see there - but I definitely wasn't expecting to see anything about an interview! I thought they sent us a temporary green card next and then we had an interview near the end of the process about two and a half years from now.

So will we have no status until after this interview?

My fiancée Emilia and I met in October 2009 in Wrocław, Poland while I was doing “study abroad” after graduating High School in California. We started dating in the beginning of December 2009. In September of 2010, I went back to Poland to start a full time study program at the University of Arts in Poznań. I decided to study in Poland because I wanted to be close to Emilia. In October of 2012, Emilia decided to move to Poznań to live with me.

Maybe they received the paperwork you sent responding to the RFE and now that you have fulfilled all their requirements the case is ready for the scheduling of an interview, my two cents. In any case do call the USCIS and request to speak with a level two customer representative, he might not tell you anything new, but they do have access to better info than the first level guys who basically parrot whatever you can see on the USCIS' website.

I have been in 'ready to be schedule' for an interview for 7 Months!! my office is Oklahoma City, I called recently requesting for a level 2 officer, but his answers were discouraging "there's nothing wrong with your case, is just that this office is lagging regarding the processing of AOS" :crying:
