I'm not feeling you're my cousin right now Darnell. And nothing in Hawaii cost 2 dollars, the gum is like 3.50, and that's the nasty sugar free gum.

The one shop that did have them sold out and you have to order them from the store directly. They were selling them for some guy who had cancer, but they took them all. So I'm still looking.

Nope, I'll shop almost anywhere. That first place you sent is about 5 miles from my current location. Once my vehicle gets here I'll make the drive. Thanks for the intel!

tbh, i was surprised when looking at that list,

as

each base has it's own thrift store. wowsers.

i shop at thrift stores often, usually seeking hardware to repurpose. or a very cheap power brick for an aging piece of gear.

Marv you need to get back to work, this posting on your own time bs aint floating with the rest of us slackers.

Let me be black and not work for a little while longer. I get to lounge around all day in my boxers and talk with the real retirees here who are in their 60's. :dancing:

They have to. Shopping in town is a nightmare. I went to the mall and couldn't even afford to eat in the food court.

ya, ok - so get a gently used three wheel jogging stroller, the one with the bike wheels, then get maybe 10 aluminum crutches, take most of the stuff apart, bend / weld into a rectangle, 2 levels. should easily hold 200 pounds of stuff, attached to the back of the moped. surface size of the rectangle approx 28 x 42.. there's fellas at the base into bike-ing, have welding and cutting gear/ tools, easy to help you cheaply.

then get into the base px for yer weekly shopping :D

You have no idea. I refuse to buy food out in town. I've heard Safeway and Walmart are not that bad, but haven't been there yet. Once my car gets here, I'll on it.

Congrats on the new job, Marvin. I just turned down a job there in January, they were offering me $120K, but it wasn't quite enough to get me over there. You gotta really watch your budget over there...

Hawaii is awesome, but gotta learn to stay away from Honolulu as much as possible. If you like shrimp, be sure to visit Giovanni's white shrimp truck on the North Shore and get their shrimp and rice plate. If you're bold, get it spicy. :)

Also, no matter HOW tempting you may find it, never offer to try the Mahu Mahu downtown...

Don't I know it. If the GI bill wasn't going to pay for my rent, I might not have come here. 120K? I would come here for that!

I work and live in Honolulu, so I can't avoid it too much. But I'm not going to shop here. Once the car gets here, I'm going to search for other places.
