Since I am the one who mentioned same-sex immigration, I will respond. First, let me state that I believe every human being on earth should be judged upon their character and treatment of others, rather than their personal beliefs, sexual orientation, and color of skin. I did not have the chance to vote up or down on same sex immigration, but had I had the chance I would not have supported it in the USA. However, and it's a big however, it is currently the law of our land, and whether I agree with it or not, I can openly tell you that I support the same sex couple in the same way I support heterosexual couples; by the content of their character as previously mentioned.

The countries events you mentioned in Russia, and other countries should be openly rejected by all, but in fact are not, and in fact may never be in our human existence. It could happen, but not likely. Does that mean that all religions who do not accept it should be openly ridiculed, degraded, and subjected to verbal and physical attack? I don't think so. There are many religions that may not openly support same sex unions, but they also do not openly degrade them. At the same time, there are many that do. The majority of those who do not are Muslim, and conservative Christians.

Anyone who deliberately seeks to harm another human being for any reason other than self preservation, has committed an act against humanity. That includes EVERYONE including the gay community.

That may actually be the most intelligent thing I've heard you say.

I do not think that Islam is the be all and end all of acceptance or awesomeness, but I also do recognize that there are many muslim groups and cultures and that there are many groups who have a 'live and let live' philosophy. I find it offensive, though, that some people (not always you) find it necessary to always go, when someone brings up something that is going awry in America, 'BUT ISLAM IS WORSE.' It's a derailment, to say the least, and it's obnoxious. In the US, the biggest threat is Christians. When people bring up Islam, it's almost always to make Christians look better by comparison, while demonizing another religion. It's a minimizing tactic, at best.

Bisexuals and transgendered not mentioned in the bill, so that's a plus.<blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="Janelle2002" data-cid="7535795" data-time="1427123062">Janelle2002, on 23 Mar 2015 - 10:04 AM, said:

 • A California lawyer proposed a ballot initiative to legalize the execution of gay and lesbian people in the state.
 • The measure isn't expected to end up on the ballot, since it's clearly unconstitutional, but it's drawing attention to California's bizarre ballot initiative process.
 • California's attorney general is likely required by law to clear the initiative. But the state's Supreme Court is likely to step in and stop the measure, particularly if the proposal gets enough signatures to qualify for the ballot.
 • The measure would authorize the killing of gay and lesbian Californians

Well said.

It's funny because when someone nutjob does something in the name of Islam, they represent the entire religion. But this atrocity, and the law in Indiana, have a straight Christian theme to it. Only now, they aren't Christians. People know how to separate crazy from sound when it's something that they can relate to. If they can't, they take lazy way out and just throw everyone into the same category.

Even funnier, is NB's comment about this is what an Islamic country would look like, even though the person is a Christian...

“Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated.” – Coretta Scott King

"Oppressive language does more than represent violence; it is violence; does more than represent the limits of knowledge; it limits knowledge." -Toni Morrison

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.

Welcome to a preview of what living in an Islamic state would be like.

Or a state run by the WBC, the KKK, any right wing extremists groups, and even some GOP conservatives, all proponents of Christianity. There's been some pretty draconian ideas passed around on this website that aren't even in Sharia law, but it's okay as long as it's them and not you.

I agree. Any state run by the WBC, KK, Blank Panthers or other extremist groups would be the same as a state run by radical Islamist.

However at this time those groups are a few hundred at most, So at this point I will spend my energy and concern on the group that runs many states, has 10's of millions of members world wide, and everyday is carrying out atrocious acts of violence and terror in the name of its lgion.

Yup Marvin 40 nut jobs in Kansas.universally hated and closely monitored by many organizations, is the same thing as Radical Islam and it's world wide blight on the face of the earth.

If I did face palms it would go here .

It's funny but expected. The sea is awash with red herrings...

Isn't this funny, the person proposing the law is Christian but somehow Islam is brought into this matter.

Is the U.S. an Islamic country?

This very proposal on U.S. is utterly abominable and this person should be sentenced to a nut house or life in jail. He is proposing murder and he is premeditating it at that.

You are just determined to not address the topic at hand. A Christian proposing to kill innocent Americans on American soil!

When leftists use a broad brush to accuse ALL non liberals for being responsible for one nut in California, then everything is applicable. Let me know if you want to change paint color so I can wash my brush first.

So it is Obama's fault this person is proposing the execution of gays in California?
