i am in nigeria and misplaced my yellow fever card, what do i need to do and who can i contact?

You would have to contact the place where you got the shots. Do you need your card? If you are there in Nigeria there's no need to have it.

But if you must show you have the shots go back to whom you got it from.

Yellow fever is not a requirement for travelers from the US,

I don't know what you meant, because I traveled from the US and they asked me for my card coming from the US into Nigeria. .

Did you mean traveling to the US you don't need one?

They changed the rules about 5 years ago and the US is on the list of countries that don't require it. They sometimes hassle you looking for money but it isn't a requirement

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

They may ask for your yellow card to see what vaccinations you have had but none are required of us its just what most of us do out of panic and for some to protect themselves. The US can;t stop you from entering if that was so it would be mandatory for K1 Visa holders to have complete vaccinations before POE and not wait until they came to US.

No, you don't need the yellow fever card to enter into the US. Only time I was ever asked for is when I was entering into 9ja, hopefully the Ebola screens are over they want ask for it again. But you don't need it for reentry in to the US...

For future reference, go to your health dept back in the States and request a copy for future travels to Nigeria. I keep mine in my passport holder.
