I am getting ready to buy my fiances ticket to come here and i was wondering if i need to buy a round trip ticket or can i just buy a one way ticket?

You only need a one way ticket. Depending on when you purchase it, check the prices for both a one way and a round trip with 2 week or greater stay. There are times ( usually last minute ) when the round trip may be cheaper. Airlines have bizarre pricing algorithms and they can often change day by day.
