Just received a text msg "New Card is being produced!" I guess I won't have to wait for my wife's EAD/AP biometrics appointment letter. Today is a good day! I feel like doing the happy dance at my desk at work. I can't wait to tell the wife that she should be receiving the green card soon.

Congrats!!!

Civil surgeon. :(

Do you know an easy way to find an inexpensive civil surgeon?

Well at least you know your case is moving and your GC should be coming very very soon!

I really hope so, over a year is way too long to wait for GC only to receive a dreaded RFE.

Since receiving the text msg of GC production has me thinking. Is USCIS working on processing green cards than reprocessing EAD/AP renewal cards? It's just a thought. Maybe since my wife's file was up they were like let's work on the green card instead of reprocessing an EAD/AP card.

I've been thinking the same thing as I got my Approval a few days after they received my EAD renewal, but then again yesterday I got NOA1 texts for the EAD so if that was the case surely they wouldn't bother even sending those out

I agree, we have followed all the rules and they should waive the civil surgeon fee if it has taken THEM longer to process the AOS or waive the RFE all together. Thats my opinion.

Here is the link to find a civil surgeon close to your area.

No, there have been members on here that have the EAD card mailed and are at a year for the AOS. I think they are compartmentalized to some degree and they don't always communicate to each department in a way we think they should.

I filed my AOS 2 weeks before you and my EAD renewal has already been approved, but my green card hasn't. So I would guess no.

2014 1/9 Interview - Approved, 1/15 CEAC - Issued, 1/17 Visa in hand, 2/5 POE: LAX, 4/4 Married!, 4/8 AOS/EAD/AP filed, 4/14 NOA1, 5/7 Walk-in biometrics, 5/19 EAD/AP approved (expedited), 5/22 EAD/AP mailed, 5/23 EAD/AP received, 7/29 Interview waiver letter

2015 4/13 AOS approved (no interview), 4/22 Green card received

2017 1/17 I-751 ROC filed (VSC), 1/23 NOA, 2/28 Biometrics

2018 1/31 ROC approved

2020 1/14 N400 filed

I hope everyone in here receives their GC soon. I hope ROC isn't going to be the same way. I also hope we all don't have to be in a ROC thread 2 years from now. This is the best site I've been on with great info and great people helping each other out. This site has definitely helped on my wife's visa journey and GC. Next step ROC in 2 years, but in the meantime it's time to celebrate and plan a trip for my 1 year wedding anniversary next month.

As long as I get my green card before August next year.. Which is when I'm planning on going to England... I'll be happy.

I'm not in any desperate need for it until then.

I honestly didn't think this part would be the longest, I originally thought my k1 would be, at least at the time VJ estimates told me it would be!

But that all went faster than I could plan to move!

But I only got the letter a few weeks ago.. Yay 6 month delay.

I'm not holding my breath.

if you guys can take the time to answer me, 2 months ago, when i check my online status, it changed in to the system does not recognise the receipt number entered and i called USCIS and they said it is totally ok and my file is active and it will be processed sequentially! (I don't know if they have a system that show them my file) but while reading this thread, it does not seem like any body has this kind of online status message or talk about things like that so I'm getting worried. do any of your guys have a status popping up that says "your receipt number is not recognised and try to enter it again"? the previous message before this one was, we can't find your application to show the status online and that was fine because many applicants have that kind of message when they want to check their status online, but this one is making me uncomfortable. what if they lost it?? I'm praying not. but any experience from you guys will be a help.

thank you
